Anni-Verve-sary Spotlight Hops Day 8


Welcome to our Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops!  As many of you know, Verve is celebrating its 5th anniversary this month and the party is just getting started! In today's card, I am using one of the new frame dies and a sentiment from Borderline.  These frame dies are amazing because they include a little mat for the smaller shape!  I love it!

I had to breakout some pattern paper and a little ribbon today.  I thought this was a fun color combo for a birthday card!  Your next stop is Jen's blog.  And below is the list of hoppers if you would like to start back at the beginning!

    Beautiful card. I love what you did with the ribbon... It gives the impression that it was just flowing across the page, but got stopped up at the edge!

    Oooh, I love dies that have a small mat - yummy! The ribbon looks really pretty - I should try that for some interest rather than always tying a bow :)

    I was looking forward to clicking on your link today! : ) I like the fact that you used the dies without their matching border stamp. The crispness of the white against the colors in the card is fantastic and the little bit of gathering on the ribbon adds just enough dimension to the card. Perfect!

    LOVE it!!! That paper is perfect (and the one little bird is so cute) for a birthday and the ruffled ribbon is such a great touch!! Love the mini die matted white on white, it give such an elegant look.
