Spellbinders September Glimmer Kit of the Month...

The month of September has a gorgeous new Glimmer Kit over at Spellbinders!  I just love this Hot Foil Plate and its coordinating die....

Spellbinders

First, I added some stripes to a white card base.  Next, I ran the hot foil plate through the Glimmer Hot Foil System.  New to foiling?  Keep scrolling for a mini how-to on hot foiling.  I used some Altenew Alcohol Markers to add in color to the foiled images.

Spellbinders

Last, I die cut the sentiment from Mix and Match Holiday Greetings out of gold cardstock and added to the card front.

Spellbinders has a platform called Glimmer Hot Foil System.  This platform heats up metal plates called Glimmer Plates.  These glimmer plates come in ALL different types....sentiments, florals, backgrounds, graphic details etc....and add the most gorgeous foiling detail to your cards.  And the foils?  There are LOTS of different colors to chose from!

Here are some links to help point you in the right direction....

The Glimmer Hot Foil System works great with a Platinum 6 Die Cut machine from Spellbinders but also works with other die cut machines. You can click HERE to see a compatibility chart.

First you heat up the platform and your glimmer plate on the Glimmer System Platform.  Then you add in the foil and the cardstock and run it thorough your die cut machine.  Once you pull off the foil negative, the magic happens!  That foil that is set on your cardstock and the results are just gorgeous!

Tim Holtz Holiday Release at Scrapbook.com!

The latest Tim Holtz Release is available now at Scrapbook.com!  See the full Holiday Release by clicking HERE!

This gorgeous new layered Wreath Die is called Yuletide Colorize and it is so much fun to put together.  I used 3 colors of cardstock plus gold to create this fun 3D wreath.

Scrapbook.com

I layered the wreath on a piece of red cardstock stamped with the Hero Arts Script Bold Prints Background stamp.  Love that font!!

Scrapbook.com

To keep it simple...which is always my favorite thing to do...I used 2 colors of green cardstock, one green and a gold to cut out the wreath.  It was super easy to put together!  I used Scrapbook.com's Smart Glue to put all the pieces together!

Check out how perfectly it masked off this frame....

I used Chamomile and Sunray Inks to create this masked off frame.  Using my Altenew work mat, I masked off 1/2' around the card front, then blended in the ink with Altenew's Large Blending Tool.

After peeling off the tape, I stamped the images from Sweet Flowers in Black Obsidian and then added in the color with the solid images.  I stamped the sentiment from the The Best Thing Mini Stamp Set, also in Black Obsidian, to finish off the card.  Super easy!!

Altenew September 2022 Enchanted Winter Collection Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to the Enchanted Winter Release Blog Hop!  Altenew has a fun new selection of crafty products today.  You can see the full release by clicking HERE!

Please keep scrolling to check out today's project, to see the amazing Giveaway from Altenew and to see a full list of stops on today's hop.  Don't forget to leave a comment on each stop for more chances to win!

Awhile back, Altenew released a gorgeous embossing folders called Tulips 3D.  Today, there is a new stencil set that works perfectly with the embossing folder to give you bold, beautiful tulips that are super easy to color!  You can now get them in a bundle with the Embossing Folder and Stencils!

Altenew

I used Neenah 80lb cardstock with the embossing folder.

Pro Tip: Mist a tiny bit of water on your cardstock before embossing to help lessen any tearing.

Next, I lined up the stencils and added in the color.  Super easy for such a big bold look!  To complete the card, I popped up the panel on a white card base and added in the "thanks" sentiment in blackcardstock.

Merry Christmas...early! :)

I have been playing with the Celebrate the Season release from Spellbinders ALL weekend.  I went to a little gathering of friends at a local craft house and I brought lots of paper and these dies specifically to make all the Christmas cards!  This one using the Stylish Merry Christmas Dies is one of my faves!

Spellbinders

I die cut the Merry Christmas layers all in white and then stacked them up with foam tape so you could see the dimension.  Next, I added in florals from Holiday Blooms Etched Die Set.  So many fun details in this set to add in to the blooms and tuck them around the Merry Christmas focal point.  Last, I hot foiled the little sentiment strip to add in across the bottom.  Love the foiled look!  Speaking of.....

Spellbinders

Did you know the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Systems are on sale?!  Yep!!  Click HERE to shop and grab one up for your own!!  OR keep reading to learn more about them!  :)
