Hello there...

I was so tickled to be invited along on a special blog hop to honor a friend and her new little one!  Jinny Newlin just had a gorgeous baby bow and we wanted to shower her with cards today.

You may not now this, but Jinny and I have known each other since we were little.  We didn't realize that until recently.....long story and you can read it HERE....but it is very cool how we found each other and didn't even realize that we already knew each other.  Confusing I know...but such a fun story.

Anyway, I want to send huge hugs and contraulations to BJ, Jinny, Ezekiel and Adina on the addition to their family!  What an amazing gift from God!  Here is a little card, just to say hi...

I bad a banner and stamped the sentiment and then sewed down the edge.  I added in the die cut from my Silhouette.  I kept it simple by layering all on some blue striped paper.

And then a tiny duck to finish it off.

Here are the rest of the girls with some hello wishes for little Kaden!  Thank you so much for stopping by and Jinny, I can't wait to see you again...and that new little guy!  Congrats!!

Merry and Bright...

Just wanted to stop in with a CAS, maybe not totally quick, but simple...Christmas card.

I found this Silhouette cut in the store.  (link below) They had a huge 50% off sale of all of their cuts so I had to stock up, right?  This one is one of my favorites.  I cut the image out on white Neenah card stock and then colored them each with Copics.  I glued them all down with liquid glue so its nice and flat.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Merry Trees.

This card is now on its way to one of my sweet blogging friends.  It's nice and flat so it mails easy, too!

Hope you all have a great Monday.  Thanks for stopping in!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just want to stop in with a quick happy thanksgiving card!  And of course, say happy thanksgiving to all my blog friends!  I'm so thankful for this amazing group of crafty friends.  What a fun hobby we have and I am so glad we can all share it with each other though blogging.

So on to the card...

I stamped the soft stone card stock with Wet Cement from Hero Arts.  Then I added a stack of 3 leaf cluster die cuts.  It made the leaf cluster nice and thick and gave it some nice dimension.  I added in a fun little sentiment from the Simon Say set called Lots of Thanks.  I finished it off with 3 dots of liquid enamel.  LOVE that stuff.

Here is a side profile...

(ETA: This was supposed tomorrow.  Oops!)  So what are you plans for today?  My sister is here from Colorado and we are going to eat.  A lot.  :)  And maybe take the kids to see Frozen.  It looks so good.  Have you seen it?  Let me know if you have.  I'm excited for a relaxed day with family.

Have a wonderful day and don't eat too much!  :)

Rock Chalk Baby Blog Hop...

A few friends and I are getting together to share a little baby blog hop for our friend Erin.  Wondering about the Rock Chalk?  Well, Erin is a huge Jayhawks fan.  I know that I could be putting myself in danger posting this....most of my friends are KState fans.  haha!  Just for your Erin!

If you are following along on the hop, you should have made it here from Joscie's blog.

I made a fun, CAS card today using my Cameo...

I simply cut out the word baby to fit onto an A2 card.  Using foam tape, I attached the word to the card front after I added in a little strip of yellow striped paper at the bottom.

It actually stands this way...

...but hangs perfectly on the front of a gift bag...

Erin, I hope you enjoy this Rock Chalk Baby blog hop, just for you and the little one!  Can't wait to see pictures!

Your next stop on the hop is over to Miriam's blog.  I can't wait to see all the baby creations that everyone has made up for today.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

a little Laura inspiration...

So the other day, Laura made THIS card.  And my jaw dropped....as it usually does when I see her cards.  I had been playing around with some ampersand cut files....

....but just didn't know what to do until I saw her card.  Then I made this...

IMG_0196.jpg

I cut this ampersand....its a Glitz Design....design, that I found in the Silhouette store.  (I will link it up in my supply list below.)  In fact, I actually cut 6 of these.

And stacked them up.  I learned that in Summer Card Camp.  :)  A few quick tips....use clear glue...much easier than a tape runner.  Also, grab a paper piercer or tweezers to help push all the thin pieces together quickly.  The glue dries fast.  When you're done, you can use a sanding block to smooth any crookedness or fuzzies.  Because you will have some crookedness and fuzzies.  It happens.  :)

Last, I took some HA Wet Cement ink and stamped this simple, but adorable sentiment from Simon Says Sketchy Banner Sayings.

I love Laura.  She's amazing.  :)  I hope she likes my Laura inspired ampersand creation.  :)

Thanks for stopping in today!

Dreaming always..

I was inspired by a banner I saw on TV here recently.  So from that, I made this...

IMG_0192.jpg

This banner is an Echo Park cut file from the Silhouette store.  Talk about easy to cut and assemble!!  I love it!  I colored the top 2 banners with a Copic and then stamped the background with Clearly Besotted Basic Stripes.  I added in a sentiment from Simon Says Talk Bubbles 2.  SO fun.

I love my Cameo. The end.  :)
