A true friend {Gina K}...

Hello friends!  I am so excited to be here today to share a new set from Gina K.  This set was illustrated by the amazing Emily Loggans.  I am a huge fan of her hand lettering.  This sentiment set called Love Conquers is filled with absolutely beautiful sentiments.  I combined one of their previous sets, Be the Rainbow, and the new set Love Conquers to create this card...

Gina K

I used a masking stencil to create a soft, aqua background.  Next, I stamped the rainbow in light colors of ink so it wouldn't fight with the contrast of the black inked sentiment.

Gina K

Last, I stamped the sentiment in black ink.  I just love how big the sentiment stamp is and how it makes such a statement on a very quick and simple card.

Thank you so much for coming by today.  Have a great day!

Let's make cards {Spellbinders}...

Spellbinders has the MOST adorable Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month for August.  It's all about the crafty stuff!  I have to share a VERY quick and simple card I made using the plate included in the kit.

\Spellbinders

I used the rainbow foil to add this plate to a piece of white cardstock.  You should see the shine in person.  It is amazing!  I added it to a white card base and trimmed off the edges for this layered look.

Spellbinders

I grabbed an Altenew stamp set called Crafty Friends and added the perfect sentiment.

Spellbinders

Not sure what Hot Foiling is?  Here it is a nut shell....  Spellbinders has a platform called Glimmer Hot Foil System.  This platform heats up metal plates called Glimmer Plates.  These glimmer plates come in ALL different types....sentiments, florals, backgrounds, graphic details etc....and add the most gorgeous foiling detail to your cards.  And the foils?  There are LOTS of different colors to chose from!

Here are some links to help point you in the right direction....

The Glimmer Hot Foil System works great with a Platinum 6 Die Cut machine from Spellbinders but also works with other die cut machines. You can click HERE to see a compatibility chart.

So once the platform and your glimmer plate heat up, you add in the foil and the cardstock and run in thorough your die cut machine.  Once you pull off the foil negative, the magic happens!  That foil that is set on your cardstock is just gorgeous!

Hope you enjoyed my quick and simple card today.  Thanks for coming by!

Taylored Expressions Field Notes Kit + Video...

Good morning!  I am so excited to share the newest Taylored Expressions Kit with you today.  It's called Field Notes.  One of my good friends, Lori Craig, created this kit with Taylor.....and its amazing!!!  There are so many details included in this kit that will help you create some gorgeous cards!

I have 2 quick and easy cards to share....and a video!

Taylored Expressions

This first card was super easy!  I used the background stamp included in the kit to add detail to half of the card base.  I used the sentiment set called Field Notes to add in the calendar and the sentiment.

Taylored Expressions

That gorgeous sprig was so easy to stamp, emboss with black embossing powder and then watercolor.  I added it to the card base with the same die cut out of fun foam for the perfect dimensional.

Taylored Expressions

This next card uses the new Deckled Masking Stencils....

Taylored Expressions

I used Copics to quickly and simply color up this gorgeous bloom.

Taylored Expressions

All framed with the latest Deckled Masking Stencils.

Taylored Expressions

Here is a quick video sharing the process used to make this card...

Altenew August 2020 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Today we are hopping along to share the latest August Release over at Altenew.  I have a quick and simple card to share today using my newest favorite.  This stamp set is called Beauty Within....

Altenew

First, I scored a yellow card base every half inch, except for an inch and a half along the bottom for the sentiment.  I stamped "you make me smile" in Altenew's Obsidian Black ink.

Altenew

Next, I stamped and colored up these gorgeous blooms with Altenew's Alcohol Markers.  They were so easy to color using a simple flicking technique.  I popped the blooms and leaves up on foam tape for some dimension to finish off the card.

Just Because {Spellbinders}...

Good morning!  How is it Monday already?  The weekends go way to fast!  I did get to play with a new Spellbinders Glimmer flower this weekend and I wanted to jump on and share my clean and simple creation.

Spellbinders

The Glimmered Botanical is so pretty.  There are layers of foil, along with coordinating dies and detail dies to create a couple beautiful blooms.  There are also leaves in the kit that also have foiled detail but I left mine cardstock this time.

Spellbinders

I added a striped embossed triangle in the background to layer with the blooms.  Adding a simple sentiment was the last step!

Spellbinders

If you are new to Hot Foiling, here are a few details...

Just a recap for those of you who are new to Hot Foiling.

I have a couple projects to share using some of the latest products so let's get started!

Simon Says Stamp

This first card uses the new Happy Die.  I love this large sentiment that can be used in SO many ways.  I chose to use the negative on today's card.

Simon Says Stamp

I die cut it from white cardstock and then lined the back with my favorite rainbow patterned paper from Lawn Fawn.  I popped it up on foam squares for some dimension and then added in the script Birthday die in black cardstock.  Super quick and easy!

Simon Says Stamp

There is a new stamp set from CZ Design called Let's Connect that is so perfect for quarantine crafting.  This is totally what I spent my time doing while stuck inside.  Zoom calls all the time crafting away!

Simon Says Stamp

This card was super easy.  I just added some Copic coloring to the cute little monitor and die cut it so I could pop it up on a white card base.

Simon Says Stamp

I stamped the coordinating sentiments in black along the bottom to finish it off.
