June MFT Countdown Day 4...

It's day four of the MFT Countdown!  There is an adorable new stamp set called Picnic Pals by Stacey Yacula.  I just love her illustrations!

MFT May Release

To create this card, I added in a little stenciled Sun Rays and Drifts and Hills to create the background.  I used my Misti to line up the sentiment along the bottom.  I stamped and die cut the tree image from the new set and colored it up with Copic markers.  This was a fun and quick card to make!

MFT May Release

There is a line up over on the MFT Blog of other Design Team members who will have projects to share.  Head on over there to check it out!

Hope you have a great day!

Wednesday Sketch Challenge at MFT...

Happy Wednesday!  Is the weather crazy where you are?  We are finally....FINALLY...getting some sunshine after some lots and lots of rain and flooding.  Summer is definitely here!

I have a new sketch card today for MFT's Wednesday Challenge.  Its super clean and simple and the sad part, the sketch detail doesn't photograph well BUT....if you can see the scored lines in the background, sectioning off the sketch details by using score lines!

Here is today's card....

MFT May Release

To create this card, I took the sketch and scored the lines according to the sketch.  I wanted to let those lines shine and just add minimal details.  I used BB Magical Dragons to add in some color, the sentiment and those adorable clouds.  Super simple!

This sketch has TONS of possibilities.  Check it out....

Stop over to the MFT Blog to see the details of this weeks challenge.  I hope you can play along!

Have a great day!

Wreath Building with MFT & Gina K...

Have you checked out Gina K's Wreath Building Stencils?  They are really an amazing tool to have to create beautiful cards with a wreath or even just a symmetrical pattern.  The possibilities are endless! MFT carries these stencils over in their shop and the DT is getting together today to use Gina's stencil along with some MFT stamps.

I used the Wreath Builders along with MFT's Mod Birds to create this card....

I lined the stencil up in my Misti and picked several different leaf and flower images to create this pattern.  It's so easy to line up the card stock and turn it in the stencil to create a fun pattern.

I added the card front to a green card base with this lovely sentiment to finish off the card.

Stop over to the MFT Blog to check out the rest of the Wreath Builder inspiration.  Thanks so much for coming by today!

Hero Arts Anniversary Blog Hop - Day 2

Hello and welcome to day 2 of the Hero Arts Anniversary Blog Hop!  These 3 days are packed with tons of inspiration, tons of giveaways and a Hero Arts 45th Anniversary Summer Catalog Release.  Sending huge congrats to the amazing folks at Hero Arts for all these years of keeping us stocked up on amazing products.  Hero Arts is an awesome company with the most kind people!  I feel honored to be a part of today's hop!  Keep scrolling because there is lots to see!

I have one project to share using some dies that are in the new Summer Catalog but they aren't new dies.  I just love these 2 dies and had to put them together for a quick and simple card...

First, I cut the Flower Garden Fancy Die out of white cardstock.  I attached it to a gray card base with liquid glue but only in a few spots on the back so I would have leaves and petals tipped up for a 3D card.  Next, I cut the Bicycle die out of my most favorite Kraft card stock ever....it's from Hobby Lobby.  Its like a lunch sack Kraft color.  Such good stuff!  I added the bike to the front of the card.  Last, I heat embossed the sentiment from Sending Smiles onto a black banner.  I popped that up with foam tape for some added dimension.

Definitely a quick and simple card!

Keep reading to check out all the amazing giveaways and to see the full blog hop list for day 2.

Wednesday MFT Sketch Challenge...

Hello!  It's time for another Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at MFT.  This sketch works perfectly with MFT's Blueprints 33 dies, but you can create any shape to make this sketch your own.

MFT WSC438

I die cut he middle sized die from Blueprints 33 and then added in the hello die.  I put the die on a card front and then cut the angle below to match the die.  I layered the card front on a card base lined with some patterned paper to finish off this clean and simple card.

MFT WSC438

Here is this weeks sketch....

The MFT Blog will have lots more sketch inspiration.  Stop by and check it out and link up your own creation!

Mr and Mrs AMAZING NEW DIES! {Spellbinders}...

A few months ago Spellbinders came out with the most adorable Die of the Month called Trucking Through the Seasons

If you follow my blog, you may remember that I freaked out over this set.  SO adorable and so easy to put together.  Well now they have a new Sentiment Add-On set that makes the original truck dies go even farther!  Lots of new sentiments!  One of the new ones is "Mr and Mrs".   I knew instantly that I need a white truck and a veil!!  So I made this....

Spellbinders

I stamped a striped background on a light gray card panel and then added that to a white card base.  Next, I built the truck!

I die cut the truck out of white cardstock and then added in chrome mirrors, a bumper and the Mr and Mrs tailgate.  So fun!  I added the tires on in black card stock.  Instead of the tail lights, I added in hearts.

Spellbinders

I popped the truck up on foam tape and then added the veil.  You know those little toole bags you can buy for jewelry at Hobby Lobby?  I used one of those by cutting it down for a fun little veil.  I just tied the bow and added it to the truck with glue dots.

Spellbinders

You can see the original truck dies by clicking HERE and you can check out the new sentiment set by clicking HERE.  Check out all the sentiments....

I hope you have enjoyed my card today. Thanks so much for coming by today!  Hope you have a great day!

MFT May Kit Release Day....

Today is the day this gorgeous new kit from My Favorite Things is available!

MFT May Kit

The new kit called Poppies Card Kit, is ready to purchase.  My favorite part?  This amazing new background stamp.  I used a watermark ink for the most amazing simple background.  The stamp is packed with so much detail.  I just love the end result.  I added in 3 die cut strips from Skinny Strips Die-namics.  I stamped one of the sentiments from the new set called Greetings and Salutations.  I heat embossed it in Silver Embossing Powder for a fun shiny look.

MFT May Kit

Head on over to the MFT Blog to see a full list of stops to check out the kit inspiration.  Thanks so much for coming by today.  Have a great day!

This next stencil is called Ombre Stripes....

Altenew Stencil Hop

I used Pixie Spray to adhere this stencil in place for those detailed lines to stay put.  AMAZING stuff!  It helped to make this fun and bold striped look to this card front.

Altenew Stencil Hop

Another new super smart stencil available now is called Heart Builder....

Altenew Stencil Hop

To create this fun pattern, you add in a light color to the stencil, flip it, line it up and then add in a darker color.  I love the 3D heart look.

I also used Altenew's new Obsidian ink on the sentiment on this card.  This ink is amazing!  Crisp, quick drying and such a perfect bold black!
