MFT Birthday Project....

Stopping in today with a new card for the MFT Birthday Project Challenge.  Here is the challenge for January!

We know it’s the thought that counts but c’mon, can we all agree that a thoughtful gift is really the icing on the birthday cake? With a wide variety of gift stamps and dies, you ought to have no trouble completing this month’s challenge — join our team in crafting a birthday card featuring one or more presents.

First let me apologize for these horrible photos.  It went down like this....daylight bulb burned out.  Rain and drizzle.  No sun.  Day 2 and 3....still no sun.  Daylight bulb won't be here till tomorrow.  LOL!  SO, I give you blue photos of birthday card...

To create this card, I cut out 4 little gift bags from the gift bag die and added them to the front of the card.  I used sentiments from Essential Sentiments and lined them up with my Misit.  I added hearts from Tag Builders 5 to each bag and then finished the card off with a strip of washi tape along the bottom.

The MFT Challenge Blog will have lots more gifty cards to share.  Head on over there and play along!  Thanks for coming by today!

Spellbinders Small Die of the Month...

Hey there friends!  I am stopping in today with a card using the new dies from the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month.  This month's set of dies takes me back to when I was little.  I used to LOVE paper dolls.  These dies are the perfect take-me-back.  There are lots of dies in this kit to create the perfect little boy and girl dolls.

Do you know about the die of the month?  It is an awesome subscription that gives you a brand new set of dies in the mail every month.  Here are a few more details....

Each month Spellbinders offers several different subscription clubs....

Here is today's card....

To create this card, I did a little cloud and grass stenciling on the card base.  I laid out all the dies from the new Paper Dolls set on a piece of white card stock.  I die cut each piece in white card stock and then used Copics to color the pieces.  Doing it this way was so easy to build the perfect doll.  As I got to a piece that needed to be a different color or even a patter, like her dress, I sat those aside and die cut those in the colored paper.  After I put her together, I decided to finish her off with little pink slippers and a matching pink heart balloon.

These dies are so each to use.  You can make your card and doll simple or you can add all kinds of details!

Thanks so much for stopping in today!  Have a great day!

Lets get started!

CARDS

One of the newest die sets called Adore Alpha Set has quickly become a favorite!  I created this clean and simple card using these dies...

January Pinkfresh

To create this card, I die the word Hello in rainbow patterned paper and then again in white card stock.  I scored a few lines on the card base for a little extra detail.  Using the rainbow inside, I attached the white outline and attached them together.  I popped up the letters on fun foam and adhered them to the card front.  Last I rounded the top 2 corners for a little extra detail.

January Pinkfresh

Another new stamp set is called Lost in the City.  I love the visual of this stamp set.  The buildings create a fun look for your card.  First, I die cut the Lost in the City die and then using my Misti, I stamped the building outline.  It was easy to line up and stamped out really well.

January Pinkfreshcopy

Using the same rainbow pattered paper as my first card, I lined the back of the die with the paper.  I picked out 3 sentiments and heat embossed them on black card stock.  I added those to the front of the card with foam tape.  I love the clean and simple look of this new stamp set and coordinating die. Makes for a fun card for sure!

January Pinkfresh

One last quick card....

January Pinkfresh

To create this card, I did a little ink blending along the bottom of the card base and then added in the outline piece of the Gatsby Die set.  Last, I stamped the Hello There sentiment from the Scripted Bold Sentiments 2 set.  This sentiment set is the perfect addition to your craft stash.  The handwritten sentiments are so fun and very easy to add to any card!

January Pinkfresh

That is it for me today.  Keep scrolling to learn about the prizes and check out all the stops on the blog hop.

Altenew January 2019 Watercolor Brush Markers Release Blog Hop

Hi there crafty friends!  Today I am joining in on the Altenew hop showcasing the newest Watercolor Brush Markers.  The new brush markers have the perfect rainbow of color for your crafty projects. I am not a pro at watercoloring but the brush tip and the color in these markers made it super easy to color up some little blooms.  Here are some more details about them....

Create stunning works of art with our Watercolor Brush Markers! The barrel is filled with water-based color, and coordinates with our line of inks. The flexible, yet sturdy bristles on the brush tip allow you to form both broad and fine strokes. Color can be applied straight from the marker, or diluted with water for a softer look.

There are definitely a good variety of colors in this pack.  I used several of them to do a little coloring....

Altenew

To create this clean and simple card, I grabbed a light gray card base and added some silver glitter washi to the side of the card.  I heat embossed one of the images from Ruffled Flowers on some watercolor paper.  It was so easy to add color with these new brushes.  I popped the die cut up with some foam tape and then stamped the thinking of you sentiment right below.

Altenew

Altenew is offering several different bundles with the Watercolor Brushes included.  Some bundles have paper and brushes, there is an embossing bundle and even a bundle with both Watercolor Brush sets included.  Bundles are definitely a good way to save a few dollars.  Click these links below to check them out....

MFT and Friends...

The day is finally here!  Release day over at My Favorite Things!  The MFT Design Team and some MFT Friends are all here today with one last day of projects using the new January products!

I created a wine tag for a party and I had to share it with you!  This is the new Mondo Cheers Die....

Print

First, I die cut the MFT Wine Tag in white card stock.  I stamped the Radiating Halftone Background stamp along the bottom of the tag.

Next, I die cut the wine tag again in black card stock.  I cut a 1/2" strip off the bottom of the black wine tag along with another 3/4" strips.  By using the actual wine tag to cut strips from, they line up on the wine tag just perfectly.  Last, I die cut the Mondo Cheers die in the Gold Glitter Card stock.  I attached to the tag and then finished off the gift with some black ribbon.

This is the easiest little detail to add to your hostess gift.  I hope you enjoyed my project today.  Head on over to the MFT Blog to see the line up of crafty friends who will have more to share!

Thanks so much for coming by today!
