Back with another card for Card Camp. I skipped day 3. I'll go back to it tomorrow! :) I have a layout CASEd from the lovely Cristina K. I love how she titled the front card panel to the side. I had to give it a shot on today's card. I found some card stock to match the colors (not a 100% match but close enough) and a cameo cut sentiment, and made this...
Do you ever post a card and then really look at it on the computer and find something you'd change? Well I did. The "sweet" needs to be tilted a little more but it's down with glue. And it's not comin' back up! lol
So I got a little craftier and made a video. I have seen so many 10 Minute Craft Dash videos (shout out to Suzanne, Jess, Jen and Jingle), so I had to make one of my own!
ETA: Just rewatched my video and the shout to Laura Bassen and the saggy card middles was gone. That was for you, Laura! :)
Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping in today!
Nice video. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAnother really adorable card, Laurie, and great job on the video! It really shows crafters how much can be done in even five minutes!!
ReplyDeleteLove the card, sentiment placement and all! I almost always see things I would change on my cards, LOL! I'll have to come back for your video, I'm on the train without my earphones. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Laurie! And your video is so impressive! I stress so much with making a 10 minute card that I can't imagine filming it! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that "sweet"-- is that a silhouette download?
Love this card!
ReplyDeleteFAB card Laurie - I find it easier to take the backing off the foam tape while it's still on the roll, before you cut the tape into pieces - it saves time & no more little bits of backing tape all over the house LOL!
ReplyDeleteI Love it and to think you did it in the time is amazing. Lots of great detail too.
ReplyDeleteI love timed challenges, but like you, always find at the that there is something I kind of wish I could sometimes fix...but you can't!
I never would have even thought about the alignment of your sentiment, had not you mentioned it....we are always hardest on our own work!
Happy Camping...
Great card! I think it's funny because the camera seems to pick up so much that escapes my eye! In your case, I think the "sweet" is just fine and wouldn't change a thing!
ReplyDeleteAwesome CAS card in under 6 minutes!! You rock!! Great card for today's challenge! I love that you squeezed it in before swim lesson too, lol!
ReplyDeleteAwesome video! I hope to see more :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute!! I LOVE how you tilted the cardstock like that. I also don't think the sweet looks bad. In fact, I think this card is perfect!!
ReplyDeleteI LIKE the sweet you die cut Laurie, darling font! Very cute card and video!!
ReplyDeleteI love your card. The colours as well as the simplicity of the overall card. Great job!!
ReplyDeleteLove the video Laurie =)
ReplyDeleteYAY for no sagging middles but, GIRLFRIEND, you can save some time and just rip that tape with your fingers!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous card - you are really selling me on this cameo machine, ya know.
Oh yeah, and I love your videos because they make me feel like I am back in your room crafting with you! xo
ReplyDeleteI just adore this, Laurie! What a cool font on the "sweet." ox
ReplyDeleteI love this! And in just over 5 minutes to boot! Awesome and sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous as always :) I often "see" things when I take the picture and sometimes they are changeable and soemtimes they aren't ;)
ReplyDeleteLove this! I especially love that you craft in the tiny spaces (aka before swimming) and that you craft with your critters! I recently set up space for the kidlets to make "cards." ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat video! Talking, stamping, glueing, and herding children all within 6 minutes! Woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteWOW--We got an extra BONUS from you! Thank you for taping that video. You seemed very calm & relaxed. I like your card, too. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteThis is super cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat card and video, Laurie! I think the sentiment is perfect but I know exactly what you mean and it happens to me all the time. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the card! Great video :-)
ReplyDeleteROFL "Post it note junky. For real" that made me LOL! And I love that your talked to one of your kids while doing this. Totally keeping it real and I love that!!! AND, I think the "sweet" looks...well...sweet :) I think it's a great card AND I learned something - the tip about using the corner of a piece of CS to "clean up" glue. Great tip. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteLaurie, you crack me up. Sounds like my house when I'm trying to squeeze in a quick card and I LOVE that you don't like saggy card middles. Nothing worse. ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card!
ReplyDeleteI loove this card Laurie :) x
ReplyDeleteLove your card! I am a week behind but looking forward to the inspoiration!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card. Love the colors and the tilted design. I definitely have to price the foam adhesive at Lowes. I use so much of it since I have saggy middles. Now I have a tip to share with you. I use a dental pick like the one I am linking here to remove the paper backing on the foam adhesive. The papers stay on the pick until I take them off and the pick hangs conveniently from my tool bag. http://keychainpockets.blogspot.com/2011/12/cvs-travel-dental-picks.html
