I have a problem.....

I have talked about it before. I get hooked on something and I just can't quit. Kinda like the whole red and kraft paper thing. Before that it was the TAC Oh How set! Recently is was the Valentines Cards. Now it is still Valenines...but I have added something!

I LOVE the script background stamp from TAC! My angel friend, Stacy, made a card that sold me on this stamp! It was sooo cute! Click here to see it! So, of course, the stamp was on my next order!

I made 4 cards today, all different but with that stamp! I have to say that I was inspired to use this stamp and make these flowers that you will see, from The Angel Company contest winner, Melanie Montes de Oca.

This first card is made with Scarlet Red and Aspen CS from TAC and brown bazzill. I used Burnt Umber Palette for the distressing on the card and L'Amoure Red Palette on the heart! I added some red scrappers floss and pop dots for the diminsion!

This next card is a weird size. I think it is 3 3/4 x 5 1/2. I used brown bazzil and aspen cardstock again! Burnt Umber for the words and the distressing! I used the Marvy flower punches, some ribbon and brown scrappers floss to finish!

These next two cards are my fav's! I used the same supplies on this one that I did on the last one! The only thing I did different was the stamping technique! It is called reverse masking! My angel friend, Bridgett, sent me an email to teach me this one!
I punched out the flowers on a scrap piece of cardstock, then laid them down on the Aspen CS and stamped over them with the script background. Then I took a sponge and just dabbed around the punch out until the edges were darker. Did a little masking for the second flower and I was just tickled pink! I hadn't done that technique before and it was really fun! The eyelets are from CTMH. Aren't they adorable!!
This last card was alot of fun too! I used my Cricut to cut out the hearts, stamped and distressed them with Burnt Umber and attached them to the green cardstock wtih glue and the middle one with pop dots! It may be hard to see but I used Mini Bet to stamp "LOVE" on the last heart! My husband says he wants to buy this one for my Valentines Card this year! :)

Well, if you have questions you can always email me! Remember this script background stamp is only $7.95 ! Email me at llwillison@hotmail.com to place on order!
Also, the new Magalogue is going live on Monday! Call me and I can get a copy to you right away! Thanks for looking!!

Answers to Questions about my space!

Thanks for the comments and emails about my "space"!

The question most asked was about my nestie storage. They are actually attached to magnetic business cards! One side is magnetic and the other side is sticky! Since I have those lovely 1970's style mirror tiles, I just peeled the back off of the magnetic business card and stuck it to the mirror! You can see I have 5 sets and they are all within reach! I used to do the same thing but inserted them into CD cases. I would almost forgot about them everytime! This was they are right next to my work space and I use them alot more!

Next question...my inks are stored in an old cassette tape holder. I painted in white and they all fit easily for the most part! I got it off of ebay a couple of years ago!

The kitchen cart was from Walmart, probably, about 10 years ago! It am sure it was cheap! I look for cheap things for easy organization! Just always keep your eye out for fun containers!

Thanks again! Hope that helps!!

My Scrapbook Space

I was going through old posts the other day and realized that my scrapbook room has changed drastically! Of course those pictures were from a year ago or more! So, I thought I would update them!

I was telling friend the other day..."Do I love to scrabpbook or do I just love to organize?" Well, I can tell you for sure I love both! Everything has a home and that makes it so much easier for me! For 10 years, I lived out of my Creative Memories Rolling tote, the bag that goes on top and a Rubbermaid tote! I didn't have a place to crop! I hated pulling it all out and then having to pack it up! Or I would set it up at my parents and leave it there for awhile....living 30 minutes away didn't help that!

So, I do love my scrapbook spot now! It is alittle retro! I have some fantastic '70's style mirror tiles on the wall! And the floor is covered with a beautiful peal-and-stick! :( Oh, there is also some orange carpet on the ceiling! I have no idea where that came from! One of these days, I will talk my husband(dh, right Jen?) in to remodeling for me but for now I am just happy to have my own "space"!

I added some text into each picture to tell a little about what I keep and where! Hopefully I have some helpful ideas for your scrapbook room and if you see anything that would help me out....remember I love to organize!!

Another Valentines Project.....

Ok, I made one Valentines Card and now I can't stop! I am going to be passing out alot of Valentines this year!

So, here is another project I made! This is an adorable box I found on PTI! So easy to make! I used TAC's Scarlet paper and lined the box with white CS. I used the Love Doodles set on the inside! It is the perfect size to hold 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 cards! I love it!

So, then I had to make matching cards! Of course!

I have been thinking about the girls who say to me....I am not creative.....OR, I don't have time! I hear alot of that! I always tell them....it is so simple and it only takes a few minutes of your time! I have been asked multiple times to design some cards that take only a few supplies! So, I have made 5 cards here that are ridiculously simple! They require only a few supplies:

*White cardstock or pre-made cards from HL, Joann's or any craft store.

*Ribbon-I am using red ribbon from the wedding section at HL....99 cents for 20 yards and it is usually 50% off!! Cheap!!!

*One stamp set-I am using Love Doodles from TAC, which I said in my last post is only $5.48 right now!!!

*I used two different inks-L'Amoure Red Palette and a Pink Chalk Ink.

*Scor-Pal, for a little decoration!

No glueing, no layering, no punching...Not alot of time involved! SO simple! So here they are! The five I made with these supplies and, of course, you can make soooo many more than 5!

I hope you can see the Score lines ok.....each card is scored around the images!

So, then I added the box...which I made with the Scor-Pal! And I have a great gift or Valentines Day holder! Take the cards out and add a Candy Bar or a little gift of any kind!

And here it is all put together!

2 Challenges/Valentines Day Cards

I made this card today using Heather's Sketch and Kristina's colors! I couldn't come up with anything on my own, so these 2 creative girls helped me out! I thought this was a fun card using more non-traditional Valentines colors. Here is the first using both:
I used the TAC Love Doodles set! It is such a great set! You can do so many things with the stamps! The background is a Cuttlebug embossing folder! I haven't used this one much and I really like it! I wanted to use Swiss Dots but I had to try something new!

This is the same card, different colors! More traditional Valentines! I used PTI's Pure Poppy CS and Pure Poppy Palette! Love these colors. And of course, I had to stick some of my fav Kraft CS is this one! OH, and stickles for the heart in the middle!

I stamped the Love circle for both cards and cut it out with a 1" Marvy Circle Punch and used Pop dots to give it more dimension!

The one thing I would have loved to add was RIBBON! I don't make cards without it but I had to step out of my box, I guess! :)
Remember, The Angel Company's 50% off all T-coded stamps is still on! It goes until January 26th! This Love Doodles set would be $5.48 for the set of 12 stamps!!

Card to Crop

Well, I finally decided to turn some projects in for a contest! Unfortunatley, I didn't win but it was a really fun project to make! It got me back in the mood to scrapbook!

This is a 6x6 project page and a card to match!

They both use Red Bazzil, Reece Paper (TAC) and Brown CS. I used the TAC's Little Things Stamp set, as well as, Curls and Swirls.

I used the corner rounder on 3 corners and left one square. I was NOT in love with my corner rounder for years and now I can't put it down! I think it adds a nice touch!
I also used the Scor-Pal to score lines on 2 sides of the card and scrapbook page! That tool does alot! It is great to have for cards and scrapbooking!

So, I might have to try another contest one of these days! Maybe I will get lucky and win one!

In the mood to Scrapbook.....

By this time in Rylee's life, she already had 3 scrapbooks! Brody is now 4 1/2 months old and I am making his third (ish) page! Poor guy! And he is too cute not to scrapbook! (Coming from the mom!)

So, I am now SO in the mood to put some pages together! As I sat at my table and started to "create" I realized (even though I have used my stamps on pages before!) just how great these stamps are just to add a little to each page! And the great thing is, you can make your own embellishments with the stamp sets you already have, thus saving money!

So here is Brody's page...or 3rd page of his life! (Sorry is the pic is kinda blurry!)

I thought at the last minute to use the date stamps.....which is why I bought them...to use on scrapbook pages! :)

I used some of the leaf stamps in the TAC Spring Time set to cover the circles at the bottom, then attached them with pop dots!
And of course, THICKERS! Which i {heart}!!
So, next time you sit down to put together a layout....pull out your stamps! And remember, right now TAC's T-coded stamps are 50% off! :)
One more thing I would love to share! Many of you have been to my house, and many of you have commented on how much you LOVE my scissors! Well, I have some! If you would like a pair call me and I can set you up! One pair for $8 or 2 pairs for $14! These are the best scissors ever! They can get into the tighest spots with a very sharp tip! Email me at llwillison@hotmail.com and let me know if you would like some!
