Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hop Day 5...

Welcome back to Day 5 of our Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops!  It's an exciting day as there's new Verve in the store this morning! 4 beautiful new sets and 2 coordinating die sets just released and they're all available to order right now. To celebrate this special 10th Anni-VERVE-sary release, we're putting on another blog hop, with a pretty cool prize!

Today's featured focus is designer's choice, so you might just sneak a peek at a whole bunch of must-haves, especially since we've got a full line-up of Divas, guests and Alumni today!

Today I used Scripture Medley Five on this distressed rainbow creation...

Wanna know a secret?  I went to mask and ink up this colorful rainbow and on the first round, the masking tape ripped the paper right off a corner of the card base.  Normally at this point, I start over.  But I realized that with a link ink on top of the rip, it looked intentional. So I did another layer and this time hoped for some paper to rip off the top.  And it did.  And the next time too!  I just went back in and added a little ink on top and it worked out perfectly as a distressed rainbow.

I die cut the verse with the stitched square but I kept the negative and attached that right to a new card base.  Then I popped up the verse on fun foam.  And that is it!  A quick and easy....and distressed....rainbow card with a sentiment full of encouragement!

Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hop Day 2...

Welcome to Day 2 of the Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops!  It's time for another day of spotlighting the Verve release with the Verve Divas and special guests! We're super excited to have a few very special Diva Alumni joining us for the hop today. Everything previewed this week will be available to order in the Verve online store on Monday, August 28. If you just can't wait, you can pre-order the entire release now as the August 2017 Buy it All Bundle at a 30% discount through August 27.

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Bloom Brighter stamp set and coordinating, Blooming Die Set. A fresh take on the flower from the retired commemorative set Beautiful You, this beautiful encouragement set is perfect for a vareity of cardmaking occasions.

For this Bloom Brighter card, I did a little Zig Marker watercoloring....

First, I took the card front die cut and lined it with vellum.  I heat embossed the sentiment, "you are a whole lot of awesome" on the bottom panel.  I added foam tape to the back of the card front to pop the vellum panel up.  After I watercolored up a few flowers, I attached them, along with some silver thread, to the front of the card.  I finished it off with some dew drops for a little bling.
