MFT November Release Countdown Day 4...

Welcome back for Day 4 of the MFT Countdown!  4 days until the latest release will be available.  Yay!

I have an awesome new product to share.  It's called Impressive Thank You Hot Foil Die.  And its amazing!!

MFT November Release

To create this card, I first hot foiled the thank you plate with my Hot Foil Glimmer System.  Using the coordinating die, I die cut the sentiment and let me tell you how much I love this look.  That is a gorgeous font.  Next, I used my Score-Pal and scored the frame around the card front, masked it off using post it tape and then I used the new Serene Snowflake Stamp set to create the watermarked background.  Super easy!

The rest of the Design Team will have lots more to see today.  Check out the MFT Blog for a list of blogs to check out.

MFT November Countdown Day 5...

Good morning friends!  The MFT Countdown is here!  5 days till release day and each day this week we will be sharing new sets so you can see everything that will be available on Tuesday, November 5th.

Today I am using a new set called Party Lights.  This is a fabulous stamp set with several different strings of lights.  There are larger images to stamp all the bulbs at once and there are several single bulbs so you can stamp one at a time....

MFT November Release

I stamped up the lights in rainbow order, of course, and the did a little ink blending around the sides of the card.  I stamped the sentiment a sentiment form Bitty Holiday Wishes in black ink.  Last, I added some Glossy Accents and a sprite of glitter on each light bulb for some sparkle.

MFT November Release

The rest of the DT will have lots more to see so head on over to the MFT Blog.  Stay tuned this week for lots more November Release peeks.

Have a great day!

MFT Sketch Challenge....

Hey there!  Welcome to another round of Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at MFT.  This weeks sketch is super fun with lots of potential for amazing cards.  Check out my clean and simple version....

MFT WSC461

First, I added some sparkle past to a white piece of cardstock and then cut them down to squares.  I added them to a white card base with foam tape.  Next, I die cut and colored up that adorable yeti.  That simple coloring is right up my alley!  I love how easy they are to create.  Last, I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Bitty Holiday Sentiments and added the banner so it would give the yeti something to stand on.  :)

MFT Hits and Highlights....

Welcome to MFT's October Hits and Highlights!  I am LOVING this months challenge because I am totally all in for Christmas to be here.  I know....I know!  You probably think I am crazy but I am ready!  It snowed today so theres that.  But I love Christmas and I can't wait to put up my tree

Here is this month's challenge...

Bringing classic designs out of storage as the holidays approach each year is one of our favorite things to do — it’s always a treat to revisit those festive designs! Adding to that stash of products each year is equally exciting though…refreshing your collection with updated designs is exhilarating. This month, we’re challenging the team to combine their favorite MFT holiday classics with October Release products to come up with appealing new combinations to add to their stack of seasonal cards.

I knew exactly which die I wanted to use from the October Release.  Merry and Bright.  I just love this die and the font.

MFT Hits and Highlights

From a past Christmas set, I pulled out Oh Christmas Tree. I stamped up a rainbow patterned with the striped tree and then added in the die cut.  I layered the sentiment with fun foam so it would have some dimension.  I also sprayed the card stock with Silver Glitter Spray before cutting it.  The sparkle is so much fun!

MFT Hits and Highlights rint

Check out the MFT Blog for more Christmas inspiration. Thanks for coming by today and I hope you have a great day!

Merry Little Christmas {Spellbinders}...

Hey crafty friends!  Stopping in today to share a super easy Christmas card.  I love super easy when it comes to mass producing and this card falls under that category for sure!

Spellbinders

Paired with my Spellbinders Hot Foil Glimmer System, I grabbed one of the Hot Foil Glimmer Plates by Becca Feeken and made this card.  It was SO easy and look at that shine from the silver foil.  I used 1 sheet of navy blue card stock, the Merry Fillagree Quatrafoil Glimmer Plate and silver foil.

Spelllbinders

I cut the cardstock in half and then made a 5x5 card base.  Next, I ran the plate thought the Hot foil System with the silver foil and then cut down that main image to 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" square.  Foiling on the larger cardstock take the guess out of trying to center your image.  I popped the foiling up on foam tape and done.  I just love how beautiful this image is and I had to leave it alone.

Spelllbinders

If you don't have a Hot Foil Glimmer System of your own, check them out HERE.  I use my Platinum Die Cut machine but I know there are other machines that work too.

Also, stop by and see Becca's other glimmer plates HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping in today.  Hope you have a great day!

CARDS

Taylored Masking Stencils

I created this card using the Rectangle Masking Stencil.  I attached my cardstock to the stencil and then layered Splash Stencil on top.  I blended the ink onto the stencils and then removed the splash stencil to blend in more ink.  I kept a heavy hand at the bottom and then faded into white at the top.

I die cut the mermaid tail and then heat embossed the sentiment on a vellum banner to finish off the card.

This next card uses the Square Masking Stencil....

Taylored Expressions Masking Stencil

To create this card, I actually used the square stencil as a scoring guide.  I lined up the square with the lines on my Scor-Pal and created a scored box on the from to of the card.  Next, I used the Square Masking negative to cover the scored area.  I blended ink on the outer portions of the card very lightly leaving the scored area white.

I stamped the the sentiment inside the square and then added the Feathers to the card front.  Adding in a few clear drops for a little extra detail is one of my favorite things.

MASKING STENCILS

Here are the 4 sets of Masking Stencils that are available now.  There are 4 shapes, 2 of each which are all pictures below.  The stencils are $14 for the set of 2 and $48 for the full set.

The Masking Stencils will have lots of uses for mixing techniques but here are a few benefits....

1. No more masking with washi tape hoping your lines are straight and your paper doesn’t rip when you remove it. Simply use Pixie Spray or purple tape to adhere the stencil to the back of your cardstock panel - no more ripping!

2. There are two lines etched into each stencil for perfect alignment of an A2 card base or the layer just inside an A2 size (4” x 5.25”). Takes the guesswork out of centering the mask!

3. The stencil mask also includes the solid shape that falls out from the middle allowing you to reverse mask or apply two tones of ink to the project.
