United We Flourish...

Today is a fun day for MFT and Ellen Hutson.  They are doing a United We Flourish collaboration and today we are here to share the new set called Good Friends.  If you would like to check out all the details, stop over to the Ellen Hutson blog by clicking HERE.

I created a fun, CAS card using an adorable puppy image from this set.  I used MFT's Drifts and Hills stencil to create this background.  Next, I stamped the sentiment in black ink along the bottom.

I colored up that cute puppy with Copics and then popped him up on foam tape.  I added in 2 hears with some shading to finish off the card.

MFT Card Kit Release...

Today is the day!  The MFT Card Kit called Snowflake Splendor is ready for purchase over at MFT.  I have one ore card left to share with you and its so easy to recreate!  

I stamped these gorge snowflakes on the craft cardstock and then attached it to a card base.  Next, I used the celebrate die to create this sparkly sentiment.  I cut it in half and added a little dash to change up the sentiment.

Witching You...

Hey crafty people! I am stopping in today with a couple of new cards using the latest Halloween Hooplah Kit.

I adore the pattern paper pack that comes in the kit.  I love all the colors together and so when I saw this diagonal striped piece of paper, I knew it needed to be a background for this card.  I attached it to the card base and then added on a cover up die.



I stamped the sentiment in black ink and then built the little shaker box Witches Hat.  I added in several toppings from the kit and finished it off with a little band of orange cardstock and a twine bow.

Candy Corn is always a hit this time of year and I love that you can find so much of it in this Halloween Hooplah Kit.  The die cut is so much fun and easy to put together, even in this non-shaker card.....

I used the scrap of background paper from the first card and then popped the white panel up on foam tape.  Then I stamped in the sentiment and added the candy corn die cuts.  The little stars are actually toppings from the kit and worked perfect for fun little embellishments.

MFT Card Kit Countdown Day 2...

We have another countdown day underway for the MFT October Card kit.  Today, I used the snowflake splendor kit to create a non snowflake card....

I stamped different images in bright colors and layered them on a green card base.  I added in a glitter cardstock sentiment using the Thanks die.  And that is it!  Easy peasy!  

The MFT Blog will have a list of design team stops to make to see more samples using the newest kit.  The Snowflake Splendor kit will be available on Tuesday at 8pm CST.

MFT Card Kit Countdown....

It's MFT's Card Kit Countdown for the month of October.  This month's kit is the most fun winter kit.  There is a gorgeous stamp set and beautiful coordinating dies.  Check out the MFT blog for more details but check out this card I have to share using some vellum and the dies.  

The dies are so fun and can create the most beautiful snowflakes just by stacking them up.  They go together perfectly.  I masked of the background and did a little ink blending and then stamped a sentiment from Dashing Dear.

MFT Release Replay...

Last week My Favorite Things had their October Release and there were so many new amazing stamps and dies.  Head on over to the MFT Shop to see whats new by clicking HERE.

The new Scenic Snow Globe Die-namics are so much fun.  When I saw them, I remembered a card that my sweet friend, Tracey McNeeley, made awhile back and I had to create the same type of themed card.  Using the little house from the set, I created this Tracey inspired card...



On the card base, I did some ink soft ink blending to create the sky.  Then I added in several little houses along the sky line.  To cover that skyline, I added in a slope die cut using the Hit the Slopes die.  I stamped a simple sentiment, from Snow Globe Sentiments, in black ink to finish off this CAS card.

MFT Product Launch....

It's Release Day over at My Favorite Things!  Have you had a chance to check everything out?  Head on over to the MFT Blog to see the whole release.  For now, I have one card left to share using the new Lip Balm Window and Frame.  The fun thing?  The window is the perfect fit for rolled up cash.  Which turns this card into the perfect gift card!



To create this card, I used the Stitched Strip die along the background to give the card a simple, masculine look.  I head embossed the sentiment, from Essential Sentiment set, onto black card stock and then left a little white strip of cardstock underneath, peeking out.  

I have one bill rolled up in here but it could fit several rolled up bills very easily.  

A quick and easy way to make it easy for the recipient to pull out the money, is to make a little trap door.  I used the frame die and the negative to cover the back.  I added some washi so it can be easily opened....

MFT Countdown Day2....

Welcome to Day 2 of the MFT Countdown!  I am super excited to share today's card with you.  I used the new Merry Christmas Circle die to create a fun new interactive card....



It doesn't look interactive does it?  Well it is a spinner card!  I have a video that I will link below, but the Merry Christmas spins around on the card front.  To make this card, I used the circle shaker pouch upside down and tucked the Merry Christmas die behind it.  It spins perfectly!
