Trinity Stamp’s 1 year Anniversary Blog Hop/Release..

Hello friends!  I am so excited to be hopping along today with the girls over at Trinity Stamps for their first Anniversary celebration!  There are lots of new stamps and dies being released today, as well as the most amazing stencils!  Keep scrolling to check out my 2 projects, a giveaway and the full blog hop list.

First up a card using the new stencils called Catching Some Rays...

This is a 2 piece stencil set that creates the most fun sun rays.  I added those to the background of my card and then popped up a circle to add the sentiments from the new sets called Sweet Senti-mini and Sweet Sentiments-mini dies.  

I finished it off with some sequins for a little bit of sparkle.

This next card showcases the new stencils called Layered Confetti and the stamp set called Sweet Surprise.  

Layered Confetti is also a 2 part stencil.  It is genius in the way it creates the shading on the streamers.  I blended in the confetti using pinks and purples along with the teal streamers.

Next, I colored up that adorable cupcake and added it to the card front.  I finished this card off using the Sweet Sentiments-mini set and dies.

Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes Day 2...

Did you see yesterday's release of Blender Brushes from Taylored Expressions?  They are amazing!!  While they are currently sold out, more are on their way so stay tuned!

I wanted to share another project today using embossing folders and blending brushes.  One of Taylor's embossing folders is called Subway Tiles.  Its one of my favorites!  I didn't want a solid gray background and I wanted the "grout" to stay white so I was pretty happy to see the result of using the blender brush directly on the embossing folder....

The background came out with more of a wash look than a solid inked look.  I was happy with that!  Taylored's Earl Gray ink worked perfectly!  

I used a monster and sentiment from the set called Little Monsters.  The perfect clean and simple birthday card for a little one!

Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes Day 1 + Unboxing Video...

Today is the day!!!  The new Taylored Expression Blender Brushes are here!!  I have a project to share, a hilarious unboxing video which shows a lot of my excitement and theres a free gift with purchase!  So keep reading to learn all the things!

 BLENDER BRUSH PROJECT

I have a project to share today using the Taylored stencil called Feathered.  Of course, I used the new brushes to create this fun rainbow look....

I did a rainbow of colors on the front panel (all ink colors are linked below) and then cut an inch off the top.  This way it fits perfectly on a white card base but also leaves some white space at the top for my favorite hello die.  Before adding it to the card base, I scored 2 lines along the bottom just for another little detail.

The best feature of these brushes is the white bristles.  You have all the colors to use for the specific inks and you can see the colors on the brushes.  So helpful!  

I die cut the hello and its shadow and added them to the top of the card to finish it off.

MFT June Card Kit Day 3...

I decided to do some actual watercoloring today!  I am kinda proud of myself because this is not usually something I attempt.  LOL!  But here it is with the June MFT Kit....

Thse blooms are so gorgeous.  I used my Zigs to add in the color.  After that was done, I put a mask over the blooms and then did a little splatter.  I added in the birthday wishes die in glitter cardstock to finish it off!

MFT June Card Kit Day 2...

Welcome to day 2 of the MFT June Card Kit Countdown.  This amazing new kit will be available tomorrow, Tuesday, June 25th at 9am CST.  This is an awesome new kit that comes with watercolor paper and ever some new watercolor powder that coordinates with the paper in the kit.  

All that being said, I wanted to showcase how you can use this card in clean and simple ways.  Yesterday, I showed a die cut version.  Today I am doing a little masking and ink blending.  Keeping the blooms black and white is a quick and simple way to use the image but with a pop!  

To create this card, I stamped the image on the white cardstock.  Next, I die cut some masking paper with the coordinating die.  I added the mask over the top of the flower image.  I blended in some light blue distress ink and then added in some painters tape over the top and did a little more ink blending for darker stripes.  Once I removed the tape and the masked die cut, I was left with a fun striped focal point.  I added in a little bit of white paint splatter and then finished it off with the Sweet Hello Die-namics in black fun foam and then topped it off with black card stock.  

I will have one last card to share with you tomorrow and I am actually going to do some watercoloring!  Yay!

MFT June Card Kit Day 1...

Hello crafty friends!  Today is the day so many have been waiting for!  The MFT June Kit countdown!

This months card is so gorgeous.  Here are the details...

This kit is perfect for watercoloring but I had to come out of the gate sharing a clean and simple card. 

I simply stamped the flower image, then die cut the flowers.  I ran the die cut through a 2nd time with fun foam.  I attached the flower image to the fun foam die cut and then added it to a card base covered with striped patterned paper.  Next, I stamped one of the sentiments included.....love that handwritten hello!  I added 3 black pearls to finish off the card.

Ellen Hutson & Hero Arts Blog Hop

I am so excited to be hopping along with the girls over at Ellen Hutson and Hero Arts today for fun little blog hop.  I have a project to share and keep scrolling for an awesome sale!

Today I am using a favortite set of time....Color layering Monarch and its coordinating dies along with the Hello Message Fancy Dies!  

I scored the white card base a few times and then stamped this gorgeous butterfly.  So easy to die cut with the coordinating open die.  Next, die cut the hello in white card stock and again in fun foam.  I adhered those pieces together and then added those to my card.  I finished it off with some black enamel dots.  Super clean and simple!
