Altenew Sticky Essentials Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to the Sticky Essentials Blog Hop at Altenew!  Today, Altenew is releasing some amazing new adhesives and I thought I would make a project using my FAVORITE one!!  First off, click HERE to see the full Sticky Essentials Release.  And then lets talk about the new Satin Masking Tape....I LOVE it!!

Check out how perfectly it masked off this frame....

I used Chamomile and Sunray Inks to create this masked off frame.  Using my Altenew work mat, I masked off 1/2' around the card front, then blended in the ink with Altenew's Large Blending Tool.  

After peeling off the tape, I stamped the images from Sweet Flowers in Black Obsidian and then added in the color with the solid images.  I stamped the sentiment from the The Best Thing Mini Stamp Set, also in Black Obsidian, to finish off the card.  Super easy!!

Altenew September 2022 Enchanted Winter Collection Release Blog Hop

Awhile back, Altenew released a gorgeous embossing folders called Tulips 3D.  Today, there is a new stencil set that works perfectly with the embossing folder to give you bold, beautiful tulips that are super easy to color!  You can now get them in a bundle with the Embossing Folder and Stencils!

I used Neenah 80lb cardstock with the embossing folder.  

Pro Tip: Mist a tiny bit of water on your cardstock before embossing to help lessen any tearing.

Next, I lined up the stencils and added in the color.  Super easy for such a big bold look!  To complete the card, I popped up the panel on a white card base and added in the "thanks" sentiment in blackcardstock.

Merry Christmas...early! :)

I have been playing with the Celebrate the Season release from Spellbinders ALL weekend.  I went to a little gathering of friends at a local craft house and I brought lots of paper and these dies specifically to make all the Christmas cards!  This one using the Stylish Merry Christmas Dies is one of my faves!  

 

I die cut the Merry Christmas layers all in white and then stacked them up with foam tape so you could see the dimension.  Next, I added in florals from Holiday Blooms Etched Die Set.  So many fun details in this set to add in to the blooms and tuck them around the Merry Christmas focal point.  Last, I hot foiled the little sentiment strip to add in across the bottom.  Love the foiled look!  Speaking of.....

Are you new to hot foiling?

Spellbinders has a platform called Glimmer Hot Foil System.  This platform heats up metal plates called Glimmer Plates.  These glimmer plates come in ALL different types....sentiments, florals, backgrounds, graphic details etc....and add the most gorgeous foiling detail to your cards.  And the foils?  There are LOTS of different colors to chose from!

The Glimmer Hot Foil System works great with a Platinum 6 Die Cut machine from Spellbinders but also works with other die cut machines. You can click HERE to see a compatibility chart.  

First you heat up the platform and your glimmer plate on the Glimmer System Platform.  Then you add in the foil and the cardstock and run it thorough your die cut machine.  Once you pull off the foil negative, the magic happens!  That foil that is set on your cardstock and the results are just gorgeous!

Lets get started with todays project!

This card was so fun to make.  I stamped the large Peonie image and then added in color with the coordinating Stencil.  After die cutting the image out, I added it to Classy Stripe Stenciled Card Front and stamped the sentiment.  I love these Build-A-Garden stamp sets with the large image included.  They always make for a fun focal point!
