One you may have already seen....

So while I was I on my blog break back in June, I got these fun stamps from Avery Elle.  I actually made this card and shared it on Facebook back then, but I took a real picture of it with my camera recently (since it was in the shop), and thought I would come share it here.  There is a little picture below that just shows a quick how to.

I used the back of the stamp for one layer, and then the front of the stamp for the darker pink. Fun!  I added in stripes with a pen and ruler to finish it off.

I realize I have been making lots of cards with lots of flowers.  So the next card I make will not have flowers on it.  Promise.  :)

Bee Mine...

I have been going through stamps and trying to purge.  (Hopefully, I will have an updated For Sale page soon!) And I found lots of stamps that I love and haven't seen for awhile.  One of those sets is this Bee Mine set, by Paper Smooches.  So, of course, I had to ink it up!

I used the hexagon cover plate in the back so I could acheive the honeycomb look.  Then I added in a stictched circle for the focal point.  I added the bees and their vellum wings with foam tape.  I used a couple SSS mini hearts too.  You can't see it in the picture, but I used Wink of Stella to add some shimmer.  Where has that pen been all my life?  :)



I am going to turn this one in for this weeks Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge...

How is your Sunday so far?  Mine has been super lazy.  Not gonna lie.  :)  It has been raining ALL day!  I love it.  My yard looks amazing.  On this day last year it was 105.  Today....63.  Last year everything was burned up and brown.  This year is green and just amazing!!

This isn't a picture from today but it just shows how green it is!  Love it!

OK so you didn't come here to see my yard.  Here is my card for today.  I made this quite awhile back but I had to share.  This stamp from Neat and Tangled is one of my faves!  I always rave about Danielle's handwriting.  She's good.  Very.  

The background is from On the Strip 2.  I just popped up the panel and then added some Recollections Clear pearls from Michaels.

RS Saturday...

Today, there was sleeping in at my house.  Sleeping in doesn't happen that often.  I have figured out the trick.  If I keep my kids up until 11pm, they sleep in.  So staying up until 11pm doesn't happen that often.  I am usually one of those strict bedtime moms.  During the summer it's a little lax, but during school?  8pm.  They sleep better, I sleep better, the next day goes better.  We are all nicer.  But 11pm caused a 9am wake up this morning and it was heavenly.  I know you didn't come here to read about sleep patterns, so I will move on.  :)  I just had to share.

It's Retro Sketch day!  And here is my card....

I really love these flowers from WPlus9.  I know I've told you this already.  Several times.  But I do.

For this card, I took a SU Striped EF and used it for the background panel.  I added in the flowers and a sentiment, on to the PTI tag.  I didn't want to take away from all the white, so I added in a white enamel dot to close off the top of the tag.  I wanted all the color to be just in the flowers.  

Here is today's Retro Sketch...my stripes are in place of the clouds...just in case you were wondering!  :)

oh, hello..

Just stopping in with one last card for Summer Card Camp.  I have been trying so many of the new techniques I've learned but haven't had a lot of time in the last 2 weeks of camp.  I made this one on Monday and am just now getting around to share it!  

This card i one using this week's color combo and a sketch.  Super simple!  I added in the stripes with my score pal and then some cute little flowers from Avery Elle.  The sentiment is from Arrows 'n Elements from Reverse Confetti.  I added in some Glossy Accents in the flower centers for a little extra detail.

This hope...

So you may have seen this card before.  It was one featured over at Paper Crafters Library recently but I thought I would share here too.  The nautical them is such a fun one.  I am digging stripes...which you can probably tell by now!  :)

This card was super simple to make.  I used Verve's Strong Anchor.  There is a rope image in the set that I simply turned over to use the back which gave me a nice big solid stripe. Then I stamped this gorgeous sentiment in Versafine.

I am ready to head out the door for a short work day!  I hope to get home to catch up on Summer Card Camp.  I have some samples to share soon!  Have a great day!

This new set from Clearly Besotted is so much fun!  I love these little couch stamps.  And the polka dots?  So fun!  

I stamped the polkas in Lemon Tart from PTI and then stamped the outline in Versafine.  I added in a sentiment and some enamel dots.  Here is a link to the Time To Relax stamp set and dies.

Best Daughter...

I'm super late today for Retro Sketches.  We went to a movie in the park last night and this morning, coffee with the girls....so I haven't been home!  So I whipped this thing up right quick just now using some new PTI goodies!  I love this new set called First place.  I think it's going to get a lot of use right here at home.  My kids will love getting notes and awards!  So anyway....here is my card...



I masked off a rectangle in the background and then added in the banner on top.

Summer Card Camp 2 is so much fun.  I feel like I am getting back into the groove and feeling very inspired by all these challenges.  So my card today uses this week's color combo + 1 neutral....(not a sketch...hope that is ok). 

I found an adorable cut file from A Little Hut, and had to put it to use.  Before I layered up this card, I took some distress inks and added them to a piece of white cardstock.  I considered stamping on the card stock, but felt that the lines from the cut were the right amount going on for the card front.  I added in a little banner and sentiment to finish it off.  I don't use these distress inks very often because mostly? I'm scared.  There it is.  The ugly truth.  It's kinda of like spray mist.  I have no control.  I don't like that.  I need controlled mess.  hehe!  Like "controlled splatter" in the form of a splatter stamp.  Already done for me!  Love that!
