You're sweet and a Video!

Back with another card for Card Camp.  I skipped day 3.  I'll go back to it tomorrow!  :)  I have a layout CASEd from the lovely Cristina K.  I love how she titled the front card panel to the side.  I had to give it a shot on today's card.  I found some card stock to match the colors (not a 100% match but close enough) and a cameo cut sentiment, and made this...

Do you ever post a card and then really look at it on the computer and find something you'd change?  Well I did.  The "sweet" needs to be tilted a little more but it's down with glue.  And it's not comin' back up!  lol

So I got a little craftier and made a video.  I have seen so many 10 Minute Craft Dash videos (shout out to Suzanne, Jess, Jen and Jingle), so I had to make one of my own!

ETA: Just rewatched my video and the shout to Laura Bassen and the saggy card middles was gone.  That was for you, Laura!  :)

Hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping in today!

  2. Love the card, sentiment placement and all! I almost always see things I would change on my cards, LOL! I'll have to come back for your video, I'm on the train without my earphones. ;-)

  3. Gorgeous card, Laurie! And your video is so impressive! I stress so much with making a 10 minute card that I can't imagine filming it! LOL!
I LOVE that "sweet"-- is that a silhouette download?

  4. FAB card Laurie - I find it easier to take the backing off the foam tape while it's still on the roll, before you cut the tape into pieces - it saves time & no more little bits of backing tape all over the house LOL!

  5. I Love it and to think you did it in the time is amazing. Lots of great detail too.

I love timed challenges, but like you, always find at the that there is something I kind of wish I could sometimes fix...but you can't!

I never would have even thought about the alignment of your sentiment, had not you mentioned it....we are always hardest on our own work!

    Happy Camping...

  6. Great card! I think it's funny because the camera seems to pick up so much that escapes my eye! In your case, I think the "sweet" is just fine and wouldn't change a thing!

  17. Love this! I especially love that you craft in the tiny spaces (aka before swimming) and that you craft with your critters! I recently set up space for the kidlets to make "cards." ;)

  21. ROFL "Post it note junky. For real" that made me LOL! And I love that your talked to one of your kids while doing this. Totally keeping it real and I love that!!! AND, I think the "sweet" looks...well...sweet :) I think it's a great card AND I learned something - the tip about using the corner of a piece of CS to "clean up" glue. Great tip. Thanks!!

  22. Laurie, you crack me up. Sounds like my house when I'm trying to squeeze in a quick card and I LOVE that you don't like saggy card middles. Nothing worse. ;)

  24. What a sweet card. Love the colors and the tilted design. I definitely have to price the foam adhesive at Lowes. I use so much of it since I have saggy middles. Now I have a tip to share with you. I use a dental pick like the one I am linking here to remove the paper backing on the foam adhesive. The papers stay on the pick until I take them off and the pick hangs conveniently from my tool bag. http://keychainpockets.blogspot.com/2011/12/cvs-travel-dental-picks.html
