Are you ready for a new Build-A-Flower? I just love this series from Altenew! Such an awesome way to add color.....especially for those of us who like quick and simple! Today's newest bloom is the Semi-Double Chrysanthemum. These stamps have some amazing detail and can create lots of different cards. Keep scrolling to see my project for today, the prizes...yes, don't forget to leave a comment on each stop, and then the full blog hop list!
Here is today's creation....
I wanted a clean and graphic look for today's card so that bloom would pop! I used Altenew's Striped Circle Background in Obisidan Black ink for the base.
I stamped the flowers from the set using just the fill in stamps and not the outline. This almost gives it a realistic look! To finish it off, I popped the flowers up with foam tape and added a simple sentiment from the Many Thanks Stamp Set.

ReplyDeleteLaurie, your card is so beautiful! I love the b/w striking contrast to the lovely flower - brilliant design!
ReplyDeleteLove this card, but it really plays a trick on my eyes. The way the lines go...it feels like when you look down the road/highway in front of you on a hot day & you can SEE the heat coming off. That kind of blurry vision kinda feel yet everything is in perfect focus. I hope I'm making sense. Trying to type it out is a whole lot harder than explaining it orally. Anyway, it's simply amazing.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Laurie!! Thanks so much for the inspiration! :)
