So happy you could join us today! It's time to get your Royalty blog hop on! Yep, that's right! All of the 2011 Stamping Royalty girls are here today to share some Patriotic cards with you! I feel so honored to be a part of this amazingly creative group! Its going to be a lot of fun to hop around and see all of their creations!
First off, here is my card...
I stamped the sentiment on a 1" strip of white cardstock using Jenni Bowlin's Spice Tin ink! Then I banner cut the ends and attached it down on each end with glue dots, giving it a little dimension in the middle! Then I added some silver pearls for a little extra fun!
Here is a quick picture showing how I made my main image! I just took 2 colors of Tim Holtz Distress Inks and rubbed them on a large piece of plastic...(actually an extra Cropper Hopper divider I had laying around!) and then spritzed the ink with water! I took the Hero Arts Starburst Lace stamp and pressed down into the ink and kinda moved it around slightly to mix the ink up a little! I learned this technique from Hero Arts video a couple years ago (or so) and it has always stuck with me! I am not usually a techniquey person but I always love to try them out! This is a fun one for sure because the results are always different!
Here is my next card! For this one I punched out a bunch of red, white and blue stars! The red stars I used as a faux embossing and then stamped the Starburst Lace stamp on the white ones, using the same technique as above!
I used all the extras to make a little 4th of July banner!
So that is all I have for you today! I am really glad that you could come by! I have really loved blogging and sharing my creations here! Stamping for me is such a stress reliever and the most amazing creative outlet! To be apart of the 2011 Stamping Royalty has been amazing! More than anything, I have made so many amazing crafty friends who "get" all this stamping craziness! It is great to be able to share with each other the things we put our heart into!
