Quite awhile back I went shopping with friends and found those fantastically antiqued music books with the beautiful pages of music...you know the ones we all want for the fun punched out flowers? Yeah well, I keep forgetting I have it stashed away. Maybe this goes hand in hand with the hoarding problem I confessed to yesterday. No. This time I just forgot I had it.
So I am pulling it out today for more than just a flower....
I used Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink to give it a little more antiquing. I also made the little rose and added some distressing to the edges of the petals too!
I thought I would add a little PTI embossed polka dots for a fun/elegant birthday card. What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by!
EDIT: I have had several emails and comments on how I made this flower. Dana has a fantastic tutorial HERE! HTH!
Supplies (I am getting better at this part right?)
All PTI unless noted
Stamps: Polka Dot Basics II, Mega Mixed Messages
Paper: Kraft, Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate, Sheet Music, Rustic Cream
Ink: Burnt Umber Palette, Tim Holtz Tea Dye
Misc: Brown Satin Ribbon, Rhinestone Flourish (Walmart clearance), SU Scallop punch, Karen Foster Scrappers Floss, Marvy Flower Punches
