MFT December Vault Release Day 1....

MFT is opening the vault and has retired several sets that are coming back!  The Design Team is all together today to share so make sure you stop over to the MFT Blog to see a list of places to stop.

Today I am using the PI set called Craft Friends.  I love the simplicity of this little set and how I could create an easy, clean and simple card.

MFT December Vault

I stamped and die cut this little cutie and then added in a little color.  I popped up a light gray card stock panel on the front of a white card base and then stamped the sentiment along the bottom.

MFT December Vault

I attached her to the top layer with foam squares so she has a little dimension.  Super easy!

Head over to MFT to see more inspiration from the Vault!  Hope you have a great day!

Super simple, One Layer Cards {Scrapbook.com}...

Sympathy cards are not the most fun to make so when it comes to make one, I think quick and easy is best.  When I saw the Pet Sympathy and Dog Sympathy stamp sets from Scrapbook.com, I knew right away the the simple images with awesome fonts would work as clean and simple cards.

Scrapbook.com

I used Neenah 110lb card bases and simply stamped each image using Versafine Black Onyx Ink in the center of each card. Using Scrapbook.com's Cardinal Red ink, I stamped the heart and also added a brown paw print.  For the other card, I used Copics to quickly color in the rainbow.

Thanks so much for coming by today.  Have a great day!

Glitter Brush Pen for the Win {Scrapbook.com}...

Hey there crafty friends!  I am back today with a new card using a super fun new marker from Scrapbook.com.  This new Glitter Brush Marker is an amazing way to finish off your projects with an awesome shine.  Check out my clean and simple project....

Scrapbook.com and Hero Arts

To create this card, I used Scrapbook.com's Domed Blenders mixed with some Altenew inks to create a blended card panel.  Next, I grabbed a full white card base and die cut the Hero Arts Very Merry Tree Die out of the front.

Scrapbook.com and Hero Arts

I layered the blended panel behind the tree die cut card base.  I love how that instantly creates a blended tree.  Next, I added Lime Green and Christmas Red Stickles around the front of the tree.

Scrapbook.com and Hero Arts

Its so hard to see but I used Scrapbook.com's Glitter Brush Marker to line the sentiment only.  I love the shimmer it added.  This new brush marker is amazing.  Lots of glitter in the clear liquid that comes out.  It doesn't discolor your project at all.  Just adds lots of shimmer!

To finish off the card, I used the Make it Jolly set and stamped this adorable sentiment on the inside.

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge...

Hi crafty friends!  It's time for a new sketch challenge over at MFT.  Each week, MFT shares a new sketch to play along with.  The Design Team shares inspiration and there are even prizes!  Stop by MFT to learn all about it.

Today's sketch has LOTS of possibilities.  I went the clean and simple route using the new set Panda Pals.....

MFT Sketch Challenge

I grabbed the new Stitched Circle STAX and a piece of plaid paper from Sweet Celebrations Paper Pack to create the 4 circles.  Next, I stamped and die cut those adorable pandas.  I added a simple smile to each bear with a black marker.

MFT Sketch Challenge

Last, I heat embossed a sentiment from the new Smile Maker Stamp set and added it to one of the circles with foam tape.  I added all the circles to a scored card base and finished it off with a tiny heart.

MFT Sketch Challenge

Here is this week's sketch.....

Stop by the MFT Blog to learn all about the weekly sketch.  I hope you can play along!

TE Blender Brush Blog Hop...

I am super excited to be joining Taylor and some friends today for a Blender Brush Blog Hop.  If you haven't seen these amazing rainbow blending brushes over at Taylored Expressions, head over and check them out!  They are AMAZING and OH so cute!!

The Blender Brushes are 6" long and have white bristles, which for me is the best part.  You can definitely keep track of the ROYGBIV and use one brush per color.  Taylored Expressions hit the mark there when they came up with this concept.    You an also get a caddy to go along with the brushes.  This keeps them all in one place and they look oh so cute on your desk!

Here is my project for today.  We mostly used blender brushes to.....well blend....but today I am using them to apply ink to a stamp....

Taylored Expressions Blender Brush Hop

To create this card, I pulled out the brushes, a rainbow of ink and my FAVORITE striped background stamp.  Using the brushes, I brushed ink on to each stripe of the stamp until I had the perfect rainbow.  Brushing the ink on gives a totally different look than just applying it with the ink pad.  It blends the ink if there is any overlapping and it gives the overall image a soft brushed look.

Taylored Expressions Blender Brush Hop

I cut the striped panel down just a little and popped it up on a white card base so the you can see a little of the base on the top and bottom.  Next, I heat embossed a sentiment onto a circle of vellum and added that to my card.  I finished the card off with some clear drops.

Taylored Expressions Blender Brush Hop

I posted this pic on IG awhile back but had to share again.  I love the color in the brushes just as they sit on my desk and almost work like a great piece of craft room decor!
