MFT July Card Kit Countdown Day 1...

Welcome to the July MFT Card Kit Countdown!  Every month, MFT put togethers an adorable card kit that includes a stamp set, a coordinating die set and then several others goodies that all work together so you can make bunches of adorable cards!   This months card kit is called Let's Toast (white a twist).  Along with the stamps, dies and paper this month, there is a very cool interactive die set that you can build a card to make those glass "clink".

I chose the clean and simple route today.  I wanted to use the negative of one of the wine glass dies....

MFT July Card Kit

To create this card, I grabbed a Burgundy piece of card stock and cut it down to 4 1/4" x 3 1/4".  I stamped the card with the Wavy Coloring Book Background Stamp using Versamark to get the look of coordinating ink on the cardstock.

MFT July Card Kit

Next, I lined the sentiment up in my Misti and stamped it along the bottom.  I adored the panel and that extra little piece with foam tape.  I thought it needed a few extra details so I glued in a tiny strip of dark gray card stock and then finished it off with 3 black enamel dots.

Check out the full Card Kit for this month.....

The design team will have lots more to see so head on over to the MFT Blog for a list of stops.  Thanks for coming by today!  See you back tomorrow for Day 2 of the Countdown!

Happy Birthday {Spellbinders}...

Spellbinders has recently released a new collection by Sharon Powell called Happy.  It is a gorgeous grouping of Glimmer Hot Foil plates and die sets.

I chose the Glimmer Plate called Birthday Banner to use for today's card....

Spellbinders

To create this card, I grabbed some Pink Hot Foil and covered this plate.  If you are new to hot foiling, all you need the the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System and a coordinating die cut machine.  The hot foil plates heats up the Glimmer Plate and then when you run it through your die cut machine, it leaves an amazing foiled image.  Its super easy!  To check out the Glimmer Hot Foil System, click HERE.

Spellbinders

I added the foiled image to a white card stock rectangle after adding in some sliver thread.  I found a matching piece of patterned paper in my stash and added in some white paint droplets around the front of the card.  I attached the foiled panel to the card base with foam tape for a dimensional look.

That is it for me today!  Hope you are having a great day and thanks for coming by!

MFT Birthday Project...

HI there!  This month's birthday project is sure to help us all add some birthday cards to our stash.  Here is the challenge from MFT...

Flowers are a welcome gift for a multitude of occasions and a birthday card featuring florals is a gift that can be treasured forever…no wilting or dropping petals to contend with. With an expansive selection of floral imagery and Die-namics available, from elegant to whimsical, we know you’ll WOW us with your submissions this month. We can’t wait to see your floral-themed birthday cards!

I grabbed 2 flower die sets and got to work....

MFT Birthday Project

I used the Stitched Flowers set to dry emboss a card front.  I love how this embossing looks.

MFT Birthday Project

I used Stitched Blooms to but out one single bloom and the leaves to add to the card.  I used the Happy Birthday die and did a little ink blending to give it a bold look.  I finished the card off with a few clear rain drops.  Yes I want to use these on every card for the rest of time.  :)

MFT Birthday Project

Check out the MFT Blog to see more details about this months challenge.  I hope you can play along!

Have a great day!

Foiled Congrats {Spellbinders}...

I am back with another card using the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month?  Like I said yesterday, this kit is amazing!!  The sentiments are so beautiful all foiled up.  Here is what comes in the kit....

Those coordinating dies?  Perfection!

Here is today's card....

(all supplies linked below)

Spellbinders

I grabbed the MFT Balloon Stencil and did some ink blending with my fabulous Blender Brushes.  I covered the top of the card with all the balloons using Altenew ink cubes.

Spellbinders

I grabbed some gold card stock and added that to a white card base.  Next, I divided the balloon panel at the bottom and popped it up on fun foam so that gold strip would show through.  Next, I grabbed one of my extra foiled sentiments from yesterday and added that to my card.  I just love how that foil shines!

Spellbinders

I have had a lot of people ask my what my favorite inks are.  Definitely Altenew Inks.  Check out this pack of 60 cubes that gives you the most amazing rainbow of colors.  I used these inks on the balloons and had the best blending action!
