MFT Card Kit Countdown...

Welcome to day 2 of the countdown for the MFT March Card Kit.  This new set of ballon alphabet dies is so much fun!  I love how you can personalize a card with your recipients name or just keep it simple with a sentiment.  In this case...Hi!




I did a little cloud and hill stenciling with some oxide inks (all linked below) and then added in the cute little puppy from Puppy Kisses.  Next, from the die cuts I saved from yesterday's ballon stenciled card, I picked up the H and the I and did a little Copic coloring.  I added them to the card front with the little string die cuts and tucked those behind the pup.  I added in a tiny string bow but her feet to make it look like she is holding the balloon strings.  To finish the card off, I masked off the top of each balloon, covered the tops with some liquid glue and then added in some glitter.

March MFT Card Kit Countdown...

This months MFT Card Kit is adorable as always!  This month it is a fantastically versatile set of alphabet balloons called Bundle of Balloons.  Instead of using the actual die for today's card, I am starting out with what the die cuts left behind. An amazing stencil!



To create the card, I used the negative after all the balloons were popped out.  Basically....don't cut the dies apart and you'll have a great cardstock stencil to use.  I tapped down the stencil and did a little oxide ink blending to create this rainbow card.  I added in "oh happy day" from the Handwritten Happiness along with some black jewels to finis the card front off.  I added the card front to a card base after trimming just a tiny bit from each of the sides.  That way it pops from the base.

Oh Happy Day Hoop Project {Video}...

Hey there!  I am here today with a crafty project....stamping on fabric...and a video!  First off, here is my Oh Happy Day hoop....

My craft room is decorated with rainbows and of course, I needed another one!  When I saw the new Rainbow Wishes stamps and dies from Concord and 9th, I fell in love and I knew they needed to be hanging on my wall.

Spellbinders March Blog Hop....

Hello fiends!  Today is the March Spellbinders Blog Hop and I am super excited to join in with all these amazing ladies. If you are following along on the hop, you have stopped in here from Janette's blog.  That girl is super talented and I can't wait to see what she has made up for today!

Stephanie Low has a new collection, Good Vibes over at Spellbinders and I have used a few of her dies in my cards today.

For this first card, I used Feathers in the Wind....

To create this card, I used Alcohol Ink on Yubo paper to make a rainbow background.  I used the largest feather die to cut this fun rainbow feather.  Next, I used the feather outline and cut a piece out of vellum.  I added the 2 die cuts to a scored card base.  Last, I added in a thank you sentiment and some black rhinestones for a little bling. 

The next card uses the new die set called Good Vibes Only....

To create this card, I cut the Good Vibes Only outline die out of some striped black and white paper.  Next, I die cut the word die out of black fun foam.  I wanted a 3D look to the sentiment.  I attached the sentiment panel onto the card

Sweet Treat Kit {Queen and Co}...

Hello crafty people!  I'm stopping in with a card and a tag using the new Sweet Treat Kit from Queen and Company.  These dies are so great for both share cards and a good clean and simple card, too! (all supplies linked below)

I did a little alcohol inking on a piece of Yupo paper in rainbow order.  When it dried, I cut each color with the shaker frame die.  I used the middle piece for the perfect cupcake top.  Next, I grabbed a miscellaneous stamp (not included in kit) and heat embossed it on a banner. I added that to the card along with a little bling to finish it off.  

Next, I created an easy shaker card that works perfectly clipped to a gift bag....



I die cut a tag and then added the 2 cupcakes to the tag.  The kit comes with that adorable cupcake bottom die and it even embosses those lines!  LOVE!  Next, I used the Sweet Treat Kit cupcake shaker boxes and added the toppings.  The newest topping is included here.  Can you see those little peppermints?  So cute!  I clipped the tag to the gift bag with a clothespin and kept it simple by adding  a twine bow!  Easy peasy!
