Fruity Tutti....Queen and Co.

Hi crafty friends!  I'm here with another couple of cards using the new Fruit Basket Shaker Kit from Queen and Company.  This kit is so darn cute and I have had a lot of fun this month.  These shaker cards are so easy to put together!  And if you aren't making a shaker card, you can use what is included to create with lots of possibilities!

This first card uses the lemon slice die but I did a little crafty cutting and change it into a watermelon...

Queen and Co Fruit Basket Kit

First, I lined the card base with that adorable paper included in the paper pack. I added a stitched panel on the front with the melon sentiment.  I used fun foam to pop that panel up.  Next, I cut the lemon slice, did a little removing of the insides and then create the watermelon slice.  I wanted to add the white rind in there so I did a little creative cutting to add in that layer, but otherwise the dies were so each to trim down.  I popped it all up on the foam shaker box and then added in three black gems, that are included in the kit, inside.  So instead of a shaker box, you have a 3D watermelon slice!

This next card was so fun to make!  First, I took a panel of white cardstock and covered the center space with 4 colors of copic dots and then stamped the sentiment.  Next, I added in the lemon shaker box....

I filled the shaker box with lemons, limes and some diamonds....well, because diamonds!  :)  I added a white mat to that first panel and then popped that up on the green  card base.

To finish of the card, I added the leaves and stem die cuts and the used a couple of the green and yellow dots form the kit.

So that is it!  2 Fruity Tutti cards made using the adorable Fruit Basket Kit from Queen and Company.  Hope you are having so much fun with your kits.  If you don't have one of your own, stop in HERE to grab one up!  Have a great day!

Card Kit Release Day...

I have on last card for this MFT card kit countdown.  Today I am sharing a super simple creation using the X's and O's Card Kit.

MFT August Card Kit

This was super easy to make.  I stamped the grid from the kit stamp set in black ink.  Then I stamped a sentiment from the same set.  And last, I glued the shaker pieces inside the grid.  It makes the most fun 3D card.

MFT Surprise Countdown Day 2....

Welcome to day 2 of the MFT Card Kit countdown which also doubles as a surprise countdown for the 'Witch Way to the Candy' re-release!

I have another card using the images that I colored up.

Untitled

I used the witch, pumpkins, cat, clouds and moon on yesterdays card, so I decided that bat would looks so cute on a CAS card...

MFT Witch Way to the Candy?

I stamped the bat in white ink all over a light gray card stock.  Then I stamped a sentiment on a stitched banner die and added the bat to the banner.  I tucked in a little black glitter card stock below the banner and then attached the whole thing to the top of the card front.

MFT Surprise Countdown....

Hello crafty friends!  Today is a fun day over at MFT.  Today is the beginning of the monthly card kit countdown BUT....along with this months card kit, there is a new surprise release of the set called Witch Way is the Candy!  Just in time for halloween!

I did more coloring with new set than I ever have in the history of my card making!  I had to mix a little of my CAS, white space love, with a lot of Copic colored images and this is what I came up with....

MFT Witch Way to the Candy?

I stamped all the images out and started coloring and blending. I had so much fun with this set.  I am pretty proud of that cute little witch and her hat shadow.  This is big time shading done for my amateur copic skills.  Those pumpkins are so easy to color up and that cat?  So cute!  I really wanted these images to stand out, so I left the background white.  I added in the moon and the clouds and filled in some space with the perfect sentiment.

MFT Witch Way to the Candy?

The design team will be showcasing this new set along with an AMAZING new kit for August, so head on over to the MFT blog to see a list of places to visit.

So glad you stopped in today!  I will be back tomorrow with more.  Have a great day!

MFT Camp Create....

It's time for another Camp Create at My Favorite Things.  I am the Camp Counselor for today and our activity of the day is Monochromatic Magic!  I have a video for today's class over on the MFT YouTube Channel.  You can check out today's lesson by clicking HERE.

MFT Camp Create

I used a new background stamp called Make Your Mark from the August Release to create this ombre monochromatic background all in pinks.

MFT Camp Create

This card was not in the video, but just gives one more example on how you can create a monochromatic look with watercolor....

MFT Camp Create

A quick and simple wash in the background can stretch that color out.
