Good morning friends! There is a new craft-a-flower in town and it is SO beautiful!! I made my card a little extra today by turning the flower into a magnet. What? Yep! I thought it would be fun to make it super super 3D and add the magnet to make it like a gift for someone to put on their fridge or even a craft cart.
So here is Altenew's new Craft-A-Flower: Magnolia...
I added some Deep Iris inking to a masked background and then got busy with the flower.
I used different shades of purple cardstock to layer up this bloom. It is so each to cut each section of the flower by using the guide on the back of the packaging.
Altenew has a whole series of gorgeous blooms in the Craft-A-Flower catagory. You can check them out by clicking HERE!
After each layer I added the same die cut of fun foam for major dimension.
You can see the full 3D effect when you look at it from this angle.
I simply added pieces of the magnet to the card front to attach the flower. Super easy!

ReplyDeleteThe magnet is such a smart idea. Sometimes I wonder if it is prudent to put so much effort into cards when people might just throw them away. I'm guessing the recipient of your magnet will keep it, use it and cherish it.
