Magical Moments {Spellbinders}...

The December Glimmer Hot Foil Kit is GORGEOUS!  I love this beautiful wreath.  This card was so super simple to put together and I just love all that shine.

Spellbinders

Using Gold Foil, I heat pressed the wreath to a green card base.  The kit comes with an outside die and an inside die for this wreath, so using the inside, I cut out the middle.  I hot foiled the sentiment on a white card base after lining it up with the opening.  With foam tape, I adhered the green layer down to the white card base.  I decided it needed a tiny bit of depth so I ink blended in some dark green ink around the edges.  Last, I die cut the little flower from the kit and added them around the wreath.  Super simple!

Are you new to hot foiling?

Spellbinders has a platform called Glimmer Hot Foil System.  This platform heats up metal plates called Glimmer Plates.  These glimmer plates come in ALL different types....sentiments, florals, backgrounds, graphic details etc....and add the most gorgeous foiling detail to your cards.  And the foils?  There are LOTS of different colors to chose from!

Here are some links to help point you in the right direction....

The Glimmer Hot Foil System works great with a Platinum 6 Die Cut machine from Spellbinders but also works with other die cut machines. You can click HERE to see a compatibility chart.

First you heat up the platform and your glimmer plate on the Glimmer System Platform.  Then you add in the foil and the cardstock and run it thorough your die cut machine.  Once you pull off the foil negative, the magic happens!  That foil that is set on your cardstock and the results are just gorgeous!

Hot Foiling has become one off my most favorite techniques.  I love the shine it brings to a card and it is SO easy!  The next best part is the Stencil.  This coordinating Eucalyptus Wreath Stencil fits right inside the foiled areas to add color easily!  Love that!

Scrapbook.com Holiday Papercrafting Parade...

Today I'm hanging out with a few girls over at Scrapbook.com!  We are doing a little Handmade Holiday Parade, sharing out Christmas projects!

I have a card today using some Scrapbook.com stencils and dies to create a fun slimline card.

Scrapbook.com

To create this card, I used the Nordic Sweater Stencil to dry emboss a piece of red cardstock.  This red smooth cardstock is from Scrapbook.com and it embossed beautifully.  I added in some white splatter pain and some sparkle by using the Silver Glitter Dust Spray.

Scrapbook.com

I die cut the Mini Envelope Die from white cardstock and added the Spellbinders Christmas Blooms all around it.  I used the gold cardstock from the Scrapbook.com paper pack to create the gold poinsettias.  The sentiment is from the Peppermint Christmas Sticker Book.  Love those easy sentiments!

Scrapbook.com

We want you to join us on this Handmade Holiday Parade and enter to win a $25 Scrapbook.com Gift Certificate!

Non-Traditional Christmas colors for the win! {Spellbinders}...

Hello friends!  I have a quick and easy Christmas card today using non-traditional Christmas colors.  Spellbinders has a great selection of dies for your Christmas cards.  So many fun details in their dies!  Check out Spellbinders Black Friday Sales by clicking HERE!  Lots of good stuff to see!

Spellbinders

I love these new dies from Spellbinders called Fluted Classic Rectangles. After masking off the edges of the Rectangle, I added in some light stripes to the teal cardstock.  I added the amazing blooms from the Shapeabilities Layered Poinsettia Etched Dies.  Finishing it off, I used the Merry Christmas Die from Create a Christmas Etched Dies.

A little more about the Fluted Classic Rectangle Dies.  You can see that for one set of dies, you get a bang for your buck!

Fluted Classics Rectangles Etched Dies is from the Fluted Classics Collection by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace. Create three decorated edge frames with this set of nine thin metal dies. Simply nest the outer rim, insert die and inner rim together. The insert die edge has a combination of intricate grooves and pierced dots design along its edges. Decorated and solid shapes can also be created with this versatile set.

The Fluted Classics Collection come in basic shapes (circle, square, oval, Slimline and rectangle) with a ticking design inspired by the blanket stitch on its edges. Nest the outer and inner rims with the insert to cut a tailored frame, a solid shape, or a beautiful background edge to any layering design.

Approximate Size:

  • Large Rectangle Outer Rim: 4.30 x 5.50 in./10.80 x 14.00 cm
  • Large Rectangle Insert: 4.20 x 5.40 in./10.70 x 13.80 cm
  • Large Rectangle Inner Rim: 3.50 x 4.70 in./8.90 x 12.10 cm
  • Medium Rectangle Outer Rim: 3.30 x 4.50 in./8.30 x 11.50 cm
  • Medium Rectangle Insert: 3.20 x 4.40 in./8.10 x 11.30 cm
  • Medium Rectangle Inner Rim: 2.50 x 3.80 in./6.40 x 9.60 cm
  • Small Rectangle Outer Rim: 2.30 x 3.50 in./5.70 x 8.90 cm
  • Small Rectangle Insert: 2.20 x 3.50 in./5.60 x 8.80 cm
