Queen and Company Heart Throb Kit....

Hello there!  If you follow me on Instagram, you may have already seen the news, but I am super excited today to be here with my first post for Queen and Company!  I am excited to join so many talented ladies this year.

I am here today with a new card using the adorable Heart Throb kit from Queen and Co.  Have you seen these kits?  Or their Foam Fronts for shaker cards?  If you haven't head on over there right now! They are SO cute and they are a game changer in shaker cards!

Queen & Co Heart Throb Kit

This card was super simple to make because all of the supplies are all in the kit.

First, I took the white card stock base and round the corners.  Next, I added the strip patterned paper to the card base. I cut 2 different heart die cuts to use on the heart foam shaker boxes.  I added those foam shaker bases to the card front, added the paper heart backing, and then filled each with a few of the shaker toppings.  Next, I took off the top adhesive and attached the acetate windows on each of the hearts, then covered them with the patterned paper heart frames.  I attached the clear "thanks" sentiment on the card and finished it off with the "for your kindness" sticker that comes in the kit.

I love how easy it is to make a card and have everything there, ready and it all matches!  These foam shaker hearts are a lot of fun to make and so easy!

These Heart Throb kits are $5 off right now and  there is FREE shipping!  Here is everything that comes in the kit....

Kit contents:

The Stamp Market...Big Hugs

Did you see the new stamp company that popped up this week?  Its called The Stamp Market and their first few sets are really fun!  Of course, this set called Bloomed had to come live with me...

This stamp set is really easy to work with.  The leaves are their own layer...the top bloom is its own layer and the there is even a stamped flower on the card base.

I added in some scored lines to the top of the card front and then layered the images.  I cut the leaf die cut out in fun foam to pop that layer up and give it some dimension.  I also used a few different copics to add in some shading on top of the stamped images.

Last, I added in this "big hugs" sentiment die from Simon Says Stamp and added in some rain drops.

Thanks for stopping in today!  Hope you are having a great week!

MFT February Product Launch....

Its Release Day at My Favorite Things!  This months goodies are so much fun!  I have a card today...to share in my love of hugs. :)

MFT February Product Launch

I used Blueprints 27 to get that gorgeous scalloped card front.  I masked off the scallops and stamped the flowers with a green stem and then with a pink to match my watercolored "HUGS".  I stamped the sentiment in black so it would pop from the light card base and then added the HUGS sentiment with foam tape behind it so it has some dimension.

Tips:

1. Mask edges of any card base or card front with the full adhesive post its like THESE.
The full adhesive backs will help anchor your card to your table and make ink blending easier.

2.  I cut the HUGS out of a scrap watercolored practice sheet I had laying around.  Sit and make several watercolor sheets and let them dry.  Next time you need a sentiment die cut, you have all these gorgeous watercolored sheets ready to go!

Hope you find these tips helpful!  And I hope you have fun shopping over at MFT!  Head on over to the MFT blog to see more of this months release.  Thanks so much for coming by today!

Neat and Tangled: Big Hugs...

Hey there!  I am super excited to be joining the girls at Neat and Tangled as a guest for February.  I have been a huge fan of this company since the beginning and I love when they ask me to come visit.

I have a card here today, using the Big Hugs die.  I am a hugger so this die makes me happy!  Definitely the best way to send a hug in the mail.

To create this card, I added some Tombow Marker scribbles to a large acrylic block.  Then I added in some water and pressed it down on to the watercolor paper.  After it was dry, I added in some darker purple splatters, with a paint brush.  I used a large piece of fun foam to pop the watercolored card front, to the card base.  Next, I cut the die out of fun foam and glitter paper and adhered them together for a dimensional sentiment.  After attaching the sentiment to the front of the card, I added in some Neat and Tangled Sequins to finish it off.

I will be stopping back in soon with some more cards.  I hope you will stop back by this month!  Thanks so much for checking in today.  Have a great day!

a little note...

Every month when we get our design team package from MFT, I open it and every month I let out a little squeal.  Like when I saw these dies for the first time.....

Print

This card was created with Die-namics Mailbox, Die-namics Cloud 9 dies and the Love is in the Mail stamp set.

After cutting all the dies out in white card stock, I used 3 colors of brown using a paint brush motion, to add in the wood grain on the mail box post.  I colored the flag with 2 different reds for a little shading and the grass, I used 3 colors of green in a flicking motion.  I added all the dies to the card with different layers of foam tape for added dimension.  I just love these dies.  They are so cute and make for the most fun card!
