Holiday Style...

Today is the last group post for the Papertrey Ink release.  Today, its all about Holiday Style.  If you check out Pinterest, you will see lots of brights reds and greens, lots of gold accents and lots of the Fair Isle prints.  So for my first project, I combined them all.

I added some Fair Isle stripes on the card base along with a little strip of Gold Adhesive.  I used the Quilted: Winter Tag in vellum and heat embossed the sentiment.  Last, I added in the Stars and Scribbles image in gold.

Another fun addition to the PTI tag's is this new Folded Tag.  I love it.  A lot.

First, I cut 2 tags out in white paper.  Then I cut 2 dies out in the new Pure Poppy + White Basics paper,  I lined the inside of the white tags with the striped paper and then used the tops to create 2 more tags.

I stamped Wet Paint Holiday sentiments on 2 of the tags, adding in some Red Stickles for some sparkle.  To create the ribbon tops, I simply angle cut small pieces of Pure Poppy Saddle Stitch Ribbon and put the ends through the holes.  I took a medium size glue dot and pressed the ribbon together to create a CAS top.

I used the Wet Paint Holiday Tags dies to create these Gold Adhesive sentiments.  Then I made the same ribbon tops with Ripe Avocado Saddle Stitch.

Theres lots more to see from the DT girls today.  Here is a list of places to visit....

Winter Florals...

So winter and Christmas are on their way...unless you live in Kansas were it is currently 80 degrees in October.  I have 3 cards to share with you today, all using new Papertrey Ink goodies from the October release.  My first 2 cards some in some non-traditional colors but still have the wintery feel.

I used some of the new Holiday Plaids with this card and the new Cover Plate: Winter Florals.

I decided to use it in a different way and framed the plaid paper.  I added in a sentiment from Quilted: Winter and a little piece of Ripe Avocado Saddle Stitch ribbon.

This next card is a Holiday card with a more wintery feel using those non-traditional colors.

And guess what else?  This is my first. watercolored. image. ever.  I was a little nervous to even share it.  But I have been told by several crafty friends to let it go.  Let it go.  OK I won't go on singing.  :)  I did add some Aqua Mist in behind and then framed all of that with a vellum wine tag to give the bannered look.  I stamped the stripes in the background and then attached the focal point down with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment in black and then finished it off by adding some Stickles all around the frame on the stamped image.

This last card was made with a more holiday look, but with an everyday sentiment.

I masked of a rectangle on the kraft card base and sponged in some Fresh Snow white ink.  On the top border, I stamped the dot image from Good Times stamp set again in white ink to give it a little snowy look.  I added in a heat embossed sentiment on the Pure Poppy strip.  Then I created a little holly arrangement from the Spruce and Sprigs set.  These holly and berry images are so much fun!  And super easy to line up on the dies.

So that is it for today.  We have one more day of group projects so stop back by tomorrow.  I hope you have enjoyed my cards!  Have a great day!

Holiday Pin-Ups Kit + Petite Places: Holiday Lane

Hey there!  Today's group post is a fun one.  We have the Holiday Pin-Ups kit and Petite Places: Holiday Lane to share.  First up....a snow globe gift tag with Holiday Lane.

IMG_2014

I used the Snow Globe shaker dies to create this tag.  I added in some snow hills and then the tree dies and the North Pole sign, after inking up the background with Aqua Mist.  I stamped Santa's silhouette in black ink and then added in a little sentiment in the middle.

I used PTI's test tubes to create these little chocolate covered espresso bean gifts.

Instead of making the clothespins, I wanted to use these cute little guys to make some tags.  I added the little elf and the reindeer onto the vellum tags, along with a heat embossed sentiment.  I used the new Pure Poppy patterned paper behind the tag for a little more detail.  These are so easy to make with the dies and the paper packs that come along with the Holidays Pin-Ups kit.

I know the rest of the girls will have some cute stuff to share with us.  Stop over to Nichole's blog to see more about this month's release.
