SFYTT...

Have you seen this month's sketch for you to try over at Reverse Confetti?  It makes for a fun, CAS card....

IMG_0094

I used Roundabout and stamped the back of the "thx" image in different colors and then stamped the "thx" in the pattern from the sketch.  To add in the horizontal lines, I scored 2 lines across the middle.  I took a little freedom of sketch and left out one detail, but I love how CAS it turned out.  To make lots of these and have them on hand would be super easy!

I hope you can play along too!  Here its this month's sketch....

Papertrey Ink Countdown-Day 1

Is it your favorite time of the month?  The countdown begins!  I have a super cute die to share today...Phrase Play #11.  I love this die series and today's die is such a fun addition.

IMG_0069

For this card, I cut out the die in Stampers Select White cardstock and also in the Soft Stone Polka Dot patterned paper.  I used the negative of the polka paper and attached it to a Soft Stone card base.  Then I inlaid the white Hooray die cut inside.  I stamped "it's your big day" in gray ink and then added in another "hip hip" in Berry Sorbet paper by stapling it onto the side.    I added in a black star and finished if off with some Glossy Accents.

For this next card, I cut the die cut apart, using the frame and the "hooray".  I stamped the sentiment in gray ink an then added in a rattle from Rattled Mini Stamp set.

On this last card, I used Ombre Builders in the background and then cut the phrase play die out of a white adhesive sheet....basically making a big sticker.  I laid that onto the stamped background and then added in a sentiment in black.

I wanted another touch of black so I cut another "hip hip" out of True Black paper and popped that up on foam tape.  I pooped out the star to you could see the Pure Poppy Ink peeking through.

MFT Warmest Wishes...

I am so super excited to be guesting today at My Favorite Things!  I have a fun little CAS Christmas card for you today.  I don't know about you, but I have been making more Christmas cards this year than ever before.  Wanna know a secret? Shutterfly usually makes my cards for me. What?  (gasp!) I know, right?  Well this year....I may actually be sending lots of handmade cards.  I am happy about that!

Today's card was so fun to make.  I am not usually one who likes to color.  I love a quick and simple card but when I saw this little reindeer from Christmas Cuteness, I knew I had to pull out the Copics.

I used Tuxedo Memento Black ink and stamped the image off about 4 times.  After cutting out the adorable Comfy Sweater Die, I stamped it for the 5th time with the reindeer image.  It was a super light image but perfect for hiding those dark lines.  I used 3 colors of brown and colored in the image.  I usually have trouble when things don't look clean and in the lines but I did my best to let that go this time.  I love the watercolor look that resulted.

I added a little red pearl to his nose before matting the sweater with this fun chevron Doodlebug paper.  Last, I stamped the sentiment from Warmest Wishes to finish the card off. Oh, I almost forget the rounded edges on the top.  I used the 1/4" side of my Corner Chomper for that last little detail.

I hope you enjoy my CAS card!  Hope you have a very Merry Christmas season!  I'll be back again soon for another post!  Thanks so much to MFT for having me!

Pretty Packaging...

IMG_00591

Well, the holidays are here and REVERSE CONFETTI has a collection of Christmas products that will help get started on making those packages look pretty!  Grab a hot cocoa or some coffee, sit back and join us for our Pretty Packages blog hop

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Amber's blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets and dies!

I love decorating boxes, especially these old Birchbox boxes I have stashed away.  The have have a hot pink foil letting on the top but its so easy to cover them up with your own decoration.  I took the Tagged Tote die and made the large tag with black cardstock.  I heat embossed the sentiments on the top for that chalkboard look.

I added in some holly, stickles and a bow.  I used So Striped to decorate around the box.  I stamped the diagonal stripe image 4 times, then cut them each out wrapping the striped around the box.

Here is a shot of the whole box....
