hello friend...

The new Green Leaf card stock over at Simon Says is so pretty.  Have you seen all their new paper?
Well this piece has been sitting here staring at me, so I had to use it up.  First off, I stamped the little Chevron image from the SSS Tiny Tags set....

Then I die cut and heat embossed 2 of the Tiny Tag dies, with sentiments from the same set.  I attached the tags to the card front using Tombow Vellum adhesive...a must have...and then attached 2 white enamel dots to cover up the holes.  I couldn't fin the right blue to match the Amuse Ocean ink I used, so I took a piece of white paper and a make up sponge and made my own tiny piece of Ocean card stock to peak out under the edge.  I just blotted the ink on the paper until it was a solid colors.  A perfect match!  :)

thanks...

In honor of the Online Card Class going on at the moment, I had to make a quick one layer card tonight.  I used one of my new favorite sets from Papertrey Ink, called Wet Paint....LOVE.

I inked it up in Versafine Black Onyx so it would stand out.  Then I added in some of the decorative polkas from Polka Dot Basics III in Fresh Snow ink.  I know they are hard to see.  The ink is really nice and bright but my photos are bad.

I love this brushed font and the little extras that come with it.  Such a fun set!

Ok I am off to watch Dancing with the Stars.  I love Candace Cameron Bure!  I used to be a big Full House fan.  :)

Hope you have a great night!  Thanks for stopping in!

thinking of you...

I am playing with some new supplies today!  I know, not my norm CAS.  But this stuff is fun!  First off here is my card...

IMG_1449

OK so I used Simon Says new Wide Striped Background stamp and this really fun stuff called Goosebumps.  Its a milky colored liquid in a bottle that goes on wet and dries clear.  It comes in a spray or a dauber top bottle.  I used the dauber to create this look.

I covered the top of the stamp with Goosebumps and then blotted it a little to get the worn look, then stamped right onto the paper.  I quickly washed my stamp because it dries pretty fast and I didn't want it to ruin the stamp.

I took Seedless Preserves and Shabby Shutters (even though it doesn't look that green) and blended all of the front of the card.  Then I took a soft towel and cleaned the lines of the striped image to take more ink off and that is the look I got!  I added in a sentiment from the Handwritten Border set from Simon, as well.  Then I die cut 2 stars in vellum and hand stitched them tot he front of the card.

The last step was using Gold Sheer Shimmer Spritz over the face of the card to give it that fun glittery look.  I love this stuff.  I have some Silver and a couple other colors to that I can't wait to play with.  OH, one more thing.  I also took the heat gun to the card front just to five those stars a little curl.  I wanted them to stand out more.  All the links to these products are in the list below...

Now tell me what you think?  Any thing I should have done differently?  Added?  Subtracted?  :)

Off to the gym!  Thanks for stopping in!

Technique-y with a Text Block die...

Another one of my favorite things from this PTI release is this die....

IMG_1411

I adore the saying!  I love my friends and it is great to know that I have friends who love me back!  This is just perfect for those occasions.  To make this card, I used vellum for the die cut.  Then I took a pink copic and scribbled back and forth.  I held it in place in some of the corners to make it puddle. I also made sure to color the whole thing, leaving some gaps here and there.  Artsy for me, right?  I know!  I used the same die cut to make the little green heart and then I added in some stickles for a little sparkle.  I mounted it one some white card stock and then a Simply Chartreuse card base to finish it off!

We have a crazy busy week scheduled but I am hoping for a little time to sit down and create today!  I have another post scheduled for tomorrow too!  I got artsy again.  Watch out!  :)

Coin purse turned Pin Cushion!

Scroll down for my Reverse Confetti Color Challenge post....

Did you all see the new Coin Purse Dies over at Papertrey?  SO fun right?  Well, I had to stop in and share my first project with you.  Yes, I made this adorable SUPER easy Pin Cushion first before I made the yellow felt coin purse.  I was inspired by Erin's amazing dies and just how easy they are to use.

SO, here is my new pin fusion....

The top is fabric and I used Raspberry Fizz felt for the bottom.

I cut this the same way I did for the coin purse I made.  I rounded one side, and then taped it in to cut the other side.  It was very easy to line up, just watching for the holes in the die.  I would recommend running the die through a couple of times back and forth to cut the holes nice and clean.

I didn't take a picture of the actual top, but I used this iron-on fusible interfacing on the back of my fabric.  The die was able to cut the fabric beautifully.

I stitched it up using green embroidery floss and stuffed it full of batting.  Then I added a True Black button in the center for a little decoration.

It is going to sit right here in front of my computer.  Easy to reach!

I have heard lots of buzz and excitement about these dies, so I can't wait to see what you all create!
Thanks for coming by today!
