Poinsettia....LOVE!

Stopping in with a card I made this morning!  I have had my eye on this Cameo file for awhile and so I went ahead and grabbed it while they were 50% off last week.  Check it out...

This file is so easy to  use because the centers cut out with little shapes to line up as you layer the petals.  Makes the perfect bloom!  I took a stylus and rolled out each petal for that 3D affect.  I wasn't sure I loved the ripple on each flower at first, but I think it gave it a little bit of a fun look.

For the flower center, I rolled up some Scor-Tape into little balls, and then rolled them around in glitter, then added a big Glue Dot and stuck them down.  I added in some adorable CAS-ual Fridays snowflakes and that fabulous sentiment too.  They are from Snowflake Greetings.

On top of the tag, I stapled on a little piece of ribbon and some kraft and brown twine for a little more detail.

I am off today to get some more shopping done!  I want everything done by tomorrow because I have a house full of company coming!  My sisters and their families will be here and I can't wait!!  I see some shopping and cookie making in the near future!  It's always nice when we can all be together!

Thanks for coming by today!  I hope you are having a great day!  Thank you all for being so kind always leaving the sweetest comments!  Really makes my day!  :)

8 Happy Nights!

It's night 4 of 8 Happy Nights!  I love this set by Michele over at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.  I made a couple of cards to share....

This first one is a very CAS one layer card with a little scoring to finish it off.

And this one is a fun one with that embossed front.  You can't see it but that 8 is sparkly!  I love it!  Lorena is posting a gorgeous project today!  Check it out HERE!

Thanks for stopping today!

A CASE Challenge

So today, over at Clear and Simple, our challenge was to CASE one of our previous cards.  My mind immediately went to one I did awhile back using the topper dies.  First off, here is my recreation...

Super simple card using a sentiment from the new Limited Edition Joy set. I added in the topper die, cut in half and then also used the Alpha Dies to spell out Joy (and the are crooked but I told myself it was ok) hehe.  Nice and CAS.  That's what it's all about right? :)

Here is my original card and the original post, as well.

Thanks so much for stopping in!  Have a great day!

Chalkboard Tags

Today is the second to the last post over at Precious Remembrance blog.  I am having so much fun with the Christmas Stamp set, so I had to give the chalkboard stamping thing a try.  I keep seeing some pretty fun examples out there in blog land so I thought these tags would be a fun first attempt.  I usually have a hard time with making a mess...this is why misting is so hard for me....so this chalk look, took just a little doing.  Or at least 3 attempts.  :)  Here is the final try....

I cut out 3 tags and sponged them with white ink and after I had that part right (enter 3 attempts), I stamped the sentiment last.  I added a little white cardstock and fun striped washi tape on the bottom...yes that is my favorite stuff!  And then added in some holly I cut out with my Cameo.  Finishing the tags off, I used some white twine and some red bling for the berries.  I think these will be so cut with my gifts under the tree!  I have some kraft paper that will look great paired up with these tags.

Are you all ready for Christmas?  We got lots of shopping done this weekend.  Now comes the wrapping part!  Hoping to get everything finished up this week.  We are having company for about 2 weeks....so this busy time of year is about to get busier!  It's so much fun!

Thanks so much for stopping in today!

I used the most adorable set from Paper Smooches called Knick Knacks.  I just love this little Ragedy Ann image.  So cute!  The sentiment is from the Sentiment Sampler set.  This is a must have set!  So many great sentiments included!  For the embossed background, I used a fun little polka dot folder from Quickutz.  I added a little ribbon and a button to finish it off.

Here is this week's sketch...

Kasia, Arielle and Brandi have some adorable cards for you to see as well!  Go check out the Retro Sketchs blog!  I hope you can play along this week!  Thanks so much for stopping in!
