A blank one...

For some reason, I have a VERY hard time leaving a card blank.  I want to slap a sentiment on every card.  As I finished this card the other day, I kept staring at it and using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, I layered sentiments all over it but I just came to the conclusion that it was good like it is.  Here is my sentiment-less card...

I am thinking it will be good for any occasion really!  So that fence die and woodgrain stamp are from Clear and Simple.  The clouds are my hand-cut fun foam clouds I love so much!  I have 2 sizes and they are attached to acrylic blocks at all times.  They just sit on my desk waiting to be used.  lol  I stamped them on a piece of light blue Bazzill.  If you are like me, you have hoards of Bazzill because you started using smooth paper at some point.  But I am really digging the texture of Bazzill again after all this time.  I am definitely going back to that stash and using more and more of it!  So glad I kept it all!  And then the little girl.  I bought her from Etsy a couple years ago so she is a little digi I have had.  I actually colored her forever ago and finally cut her out to make a card with.  She's been sitting on my desk staring at me for a couple weeks and I finally had a chance to use her.  I was pretty proud of my skin blending.  And the polka dots on her dress.  Again, I made her so long ago, I am thinking I couldn't pull this off again!  I need Copic schooling in a bad way.  :)

OK, so the kiddos are off for one more day of Easter break.  I am thinking we are going to find something fun to do.  Or I will make then clean their rooms!  That's fun too right?  ;)

PS...almost done with the first book of the Hunger Games.  Can't. put. it. down.  Why oh why did I start these?  :)

Have a great day!!

A blog named Hero...

My sweet blog friend, Mary Dawn recently started a new challenge blog called "A blog named Hero".  I had to play along with the first challenge!  It's all about your favorite Hero Arts stamps.  So I pulled out Kiss from the Sun.  I love this set!  And I haven't used it in forever so its a great time to ink it up!  Here is my card...

Retro Sketches #6

Happy Saturday!  I can't believe another week has flown by so fast!  My mom always told me, the older you get, the faster time goes by.  I believe it!  My birthday is coming up pretty soon and I'm feeling the age creep up on me.  I'm just going to say that I will be 21 again.  It sounds good right?  ;)

Ok back on track here!  Here is my sketch card for today...

I used an adorable stamp and die from CSS.  The little dress stamp and sentiment come from their new set, Tiny Fashions and then the Tiny Fashions dress die!  SO cute!

This card is based on this adorable sketch by my sweet friend Lynn! HERE is her original card.

Well, I am off to watch a movie.  Not sure which one yet, but the kids just went to bed so really anything is good.  At the end of the week, I am ready for some mindless TV.  OH, and I got talked in to the Hunger Games.  I just bought the first book on my kindle.  Any body else reading them?  I am a Twilight fan....took me a LONG time to admit this...so I have heard that I will like this series!

OK, have a good day!  So glad you came by!  :)

I lift up my eyes...

**Scroll down for CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Post**

This week I was going through my google reader and I saw THIS card by Debbie!  She uses pattern paper in a way I wish I could!  I loved the sketch, so I had to play along too, with an attempt to use more than one piece of pattern paper!  So here is my attempt...

I cut the roses with my Zing.  Such a handy tool.  The leaves are from the CSS Build-A-Flower die set.  They are the cutest little leaves ever.  ;)  The sentiment is one of my favorites from Verve!  I just adore their scripture stamps!

Here is the sketch...

So glad you could come by today!  Have a great day!

What's inside your Easter Basket?

That is what this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge is all about this week!  So instead of making a card with things you'd find in an Easter basket, I actually made a little Easter treat!  Here is this weeks project...

This is Party Favor 4 from Clear and Simple.  It'a fun little box with a little sliding drawer!  I fill this with Easter grass and a little chocolate...

The eggs and sentiment are from Cart Pals: Occasions.  Such a fun little image to add along with the sentiment on a label from Labels 9.  I also added in a little grass die cut for more decoration!

Here is this weeks challenge badge...
