PTI Release in Review...

It's Release night over at Papertrey Ink.  I am stopping in with my review post really late today.  Yesterday I did something really smart.  I grabbed a hot pan right out of a 375 degree oven.  Yep!  With no oven mitt.  So I spent most of yesterday at the doctor and then until this morning, was all wrapped up in what looked like an oven mitt.  Like a reminder of what I should have been wearing in the first place.  So today is a much better day and the swelling has gone down and I am able to type, so that is a plus.  I also was able to finish up some stamping today too, so I thought I would stop in and share!

The Petite Places: Home and Garden is just so cute.  I used the Scene It: Skyscapes Dies to create this.  I did a watercolor background and then used the cloud die to create the scene.  I just added it to the Basic Baker Die and then attached it to the card.  I finished it off with the sentiment from Bountiful Banners.

This next card uses the new Pennant Flag die and the Thanks Coach die to create this card, along with  Go For the Goal and Thanks Coach.

This card uses Background Basics: Splat, Keep it Simple: Baby and Bitty Blessings.

I used Outlined to create this background and then added in the blooms and sentiment from Bold Blossoms....

Introducing Coin Purse II...

Good Morning!  Today is the last day of group posts before the Papertrey Ink January Release.  Today we have a fun new product to share.  Adorable new dies called Coin Purse II.

I decided to pull out the Seasonal Stitching: Apple Die to create this fun little Teacher Gift.  I used Summer Sunrise felt to create this little pouch along with some Pure Poppy Saddle Stitch Ribbon.  I also used Apple Prints to make a CAS card to go along with this gift.

Last, I added in some pencils and of course, some chocolate!  I love this little bag and the dies that make it so easy to stitch up and personalize.  You can turn this bag out and stitch it up so that the stitching doesn't show.  I wanted all the coordinating stitching so I kept mine where the white stitching would show.

That is it for today! Stop over to Nichole's blog to see what the rest of the team has created for today. Hope you have enjoyed my release projects! Thanks for stopping in!

Introducing Petite Places: Home & Garden

Welcome to Day 2 of group projects at Papertrey Ink.  This months release is so much fun!  Today we   are showcasing the newest addition to the Petite Places line.  When I saw this Home and Garden set, the first thing that stood out to me were the adorable sentiments.  There is nothing better than a fun tag to add to your homemade gifts or treats.

I grabbed Tag Sale #3 die and created this fun little tag.  I stamped the house and the tree and added it to the bottom.  Then I made another little tag using the Keep it Simple: Frames, to layer on the main tag with the semtiment.  I added in a little ribbon/twine detail to finish it off.

Butterfly Inspirations...

Hey there, crafty friends!  Welcome to the first group post of the January Papertrey Ink Release.  Today is all about butterflies!  This makes me so happy because it has spring written all over it.  I don't know about where you live, but this gray, cloudy, cold stuff is no fun.  I brought in some fun colors just to add some spring in!

For this first card, I used the new Cover Plate: Butterfly.

I used some distress ink on the card base, along with some drops of water and then added the cover plate on the top in white.  I heat embossed a sentiment from the new set called Bitty Butterflies on a black banner die.

This next card uses the new set called Enclosed: Butterfly.  I blended in some Aqua Mist on the card base and added in some score lines and a sentiment, from Bitty Butterfly,  at the bottom.

I layered a vellum butterfly behind the white butterfly, after ombre stamping in the Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz and Hibiscus Burst.  I attached the butterfly to the card with Tombow Mono Liquid glue.
