Sketches and Triangles...

So I am jumping on the Triangle bandwagon today.  I have seen some AMAZING card using just triangles.  It seemed hard for me, for some reason.  The placement, the color etc...all hard decisions.  So I took an easy route.  I used this week's new Retro Sketch and some pattern paper and this is what happened....

I love, LOVE these Dear Lizzy papers and I thought they were really fun together.  I added in a sentiment and a little wooden heart to finish it off.

Here is this week's sketch....

I hope you can play along with us!  Click over to the Retro Sketches blog to see what the other girls have for us this week and link up your creation, too!

I am also turning this in over at Moxie Fab's Trendy Triangles Challenge!  :)

Annabelle Stamps Blog Hop

So happy to be joining in with the Annabelle blog hop this month!  If you are following along with the hop, you came here from Marcia's blog.  You can find a full hop list over at the Annabelle blog.

The sets that I use on these next 2 cards are BBD8 and Butterfly Sunshine.

IMG_0025.jpg

This first card was made using several of the banner images in the BBD8 set.  I stamped the banners with different colors of Hero Arts ink and then cut them out.  I layered them up with some foam tape.  I used a gorgeous butterfly from Butterfly Sunshine and heat embossed with white powder.  I masked and stamped a sentiment from that same set.

I used the sunbeam image from Butterfly Sunshine for this card.  I punched a circle in yellow paper and cut it so it has a flat bottom.  I added in a sentiment from BBD8 and then covered the middle of the sun in clear Winks of Stella.

Here are all of the gorgeous sets being released...

Would you like to win a set?  Leave a comment on all the blogs for a chance to win one of these gorgeous prizes! You can read all the details on what to do at the

Carnival Craze...

**Scroll down for my Neat and Tangled Blog Hop Post**

Welcome to the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

It's that time again...Curtain time!  We are excited to present the new challenge, Carnival Craze!

When I saw this picture, I went straight to the colors and the hot air balloon.  This is what I came up with...

IMG_0013

Using the Lawn Fawn set, Blue Skies, I masked off and stamped the balloon and the top cloud.  The I paper pieced the balloon and cut out one more of those adorable flat bottom clouds and popped it up with foam tape.  I lightly outlined the clouds and the "sky's" in the sentiment with a BG000 copic.

So that is it for today!  Stop over to the Curtain Call blog to see what the other girls have made up for today!  Lawn Fawn is our sponsor this week so you can check in over there to see all about the prize for the week, too!  :)

Thanks so much for visiting!

Let's Eat Cake!

You may not know this about me.  But I love cake.  A lot.  So when I found out this blog hop theme....I was in.  For sure. :)

I am so happy to help celebrate, my sweet friend Danielle's, 1 year in business.  I have a card made up today for a sweet little friend we know and it was the the perfect chance to use my Neat and Tangled stamps....
IMG_0015.jpg

I cut this card using a cake card image from the Silhouette Store.  First, I cut the cake, candle and flames all in white cardstock.  This I cut the cake out of craft and the icing out of Berry Sorbet.  I stamped Happy, from Everyday Circles, using Melon from Fresh Ink.  I stamped the chevrons from the set Little Tangles in Versamark on the cake base for some added decoration.  I laid the stamp down and curved it along the base of the card so it would go with the edge of the cake.

Here are some quick photos of how I made the candles...

I kept the cut outs on the cameo mat, and colored them in....

Then I popped them out and put them together....

Saves so much time and paper this way!

So glad you could come by today!  Stop and check out what the other girls have created for today's "Lets Eat Cake" theme!

Sneak Peek Day 3-Butterfly Sunshine

I'm back with another peek today for day 3, over at Annabelle Stamps.  This set is amazing!

IMG_9977.jpg

The background image is one from BBD8.  The sentiment and butterfly are from today's set.  I colored and cut out the butterfly and added in some scrappers floss antenna.  Then, I added him to a tag with that gorgeous sentiment.  I adore that font!

Check out more sneaks over at the Annabelle blog!  Thanks for coming by today!
