Textured Fun Blog Hop & Giveaway

Welcome to the Textured Fun Blog Hop and Giveaway!  I am so excited to be hopping along with some super talented ladies, all showcasing Nina Yang's new stamp sets available at Avery Elle.

So here is my first card...

I die cut 4 tags using Simply Tags dies.  I took the striped image from Textured Tiles and stamped each with a different color.  I added all four tags onto a scrap piece of paper so I could easily center them on the card front.  Once I had that done, I popped the tags up on foam tape and cut the excess off.  I tied one tag up with some white twine and added a sentiment from Simply Tags: Everyday.

Here's one more CAS card...

Here's how I did it...I took a piece of typing paper and cut it in fourths. I took 3 circle dies, and die cut one on each.  Then I just moved them around on the card until the circle was where I wanted.  I used one of the pattern stamps from Textured tiles and pressed firmly down.  Once I had the pattern I wanted, I stamped a sentiment from Simply Tags: Everyday.

Now lets talk prizes!  You can leave comments on all of the blogs on the hop, for the chance to win these great prizes!

Curtain Call is back!

Do you remember years ago playing along with Stacey's Curtain Call?  Well, I do!  It was one of my favorite challenges and I am thrilled that it's back!  And I'm so excited to be apart of it!  We have a great challenge ready for you in the form of an inspiration photo.  Check it out...

There are so many things to be inspired by in this photo so I chose the anchor and when I see nautical, I think stripes....which I love right now...and the colors!  So here is what I came up with....

IMG_9785

A CAS card for sure!  I added in some striped card stock from PTI and then some white twine with a nautical not.  The anchor was die cut and then stamped using Verve's set called Strong Anchor.  I added the sentiment in the same Amuse Navy.  I popped the front up on foam tape and added it to the card base.

To start the show, we have a fabulous sponsor, Verve Stamps!  Verve generously provided our crew with the versatile and classic, yet trendy Strong Anchor stamp set with coordinating Nautical Die Set to inspire us even further with our first challenge.

That's not all, folks!  Verve is also offering the Strong Anchor stamp set and coordinating Nautical Die Set to "The Lead" of the Feeling Nautical challenge!

Stop in over at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge blog to see how you can play along!  Also check out all these amazing designers for some Nautical inspiration!

To me you are perfect...

Stopping in today with a CAS Clearly Besotted creation.  The new set called Love Quotes is just gorgeous!  I love these flowers and of course the dies!

I did a little blog house keeping and added some buttons to my side bar.  You can click on any of them and follow Soapbox Creations on those different channels!  The heart is Bloglovin and the three bars circle is for Feedly.  Hope that helps!  OH and I have a You Tube channel too.  I have had the sweetest feedback in comments and emails about my latest video with requests for more.  I may have to try another one soon!

Thanks for stopping in today!  Have a great Sunday!

Shine!

Happy Saturday already!  This week flew by and it was nice and hot here!  So I thought I would make a sunny type card for this week's Retro Sketch.  I pulled out one of my favorite Verve sentiments, some washi tape and a silhouette sun die cut.  OH and lets not forget the cloud die!  :)  Here is what happened....

IMG_9870.jpg

I attached the sun to the card base and then layered up some washi.  I added the sentiment to the could die with Versafine black onyx and then popped it up on foam tape to finish!

Check out this week's sketch over at Retro Sketches...

The original card for this week's sketch was made by the super talented, Lisa!  I hope you can play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping in!

You're sweet and a Video!

Back with another card for Card Camp.  I skipped day 3.  I'll go back to it tomorrow!  :)  I have a layout CASEd from the lovely Cristina K.  I love how she titled the front card panel to the side.  I had to give it a shot on today's card.  I found some card stock to match the colors (not a 100% match but close enough) and a cameo cut sentiment, and made this...

Do you ever post a card and then really look at it on the computer and find something you'd change?  Well I did.  The "sweet" needs to be tilted a little more but it's down with glue.  And it's not comin' back up!  lol

So I got a little craftier and made a video.  I have seen so many 10 Minute Craft Dash videos (shout out to Suzanne, Jess, Jen and Jingle), so I had to make one of my own!

ETA: Just rewatched my video and the shout to Laura Bassen and the saggy card middles was gone.  That was for you, Laura!  :)

Hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping in today!
