December Moments Inked...

Moments Inked Banner
Hey planner friends!  I am stopping in today, to share my holiday inserts for the Moments Inked Planner System.  As you know, I usually keep my planning pretty simple, but I had to bring in the bling and add in some fun Christmas lists.

Christmas lists for Moments Inked

To start, I added the scalloped divider from the Moments Inked: Divided Dies, cut out of red glitter card stock.  Next, I used the December die from Monthly Moments: Year Round 2 dies.  I backed the divider with vellum to help keep that nice and sturdy.

I grabbed one of the middle pages from the Moments Inked: Basic Page Dies to make a little post it note holder.  I stamped the sentiment from A Thrill of Hope on the Spring Moss page.

Last, I created a Christmas To Do List....

I used Moments Inked: Posted II and stamped the lines on the largest basic page die cut in white card stock.  I added in a gorgeous tree image from O'Tannenbaum on the side and then added in the "Christmas" die cut, from Wet Paint Holiday,  again in the red glitter cardstock.

These lists are sure to keep me organized with all the stuff we have coming up.  Definitely a fun, but busy time of year.

One more shot of the top of my planner....I just love seeing that red glitter divider, peaking out and keeping my place!

Hope you have found a little planner inspiration here.  So glad you stopped in!

Merry Christmas!

Moments Inked: Meal Planner Review...

Have you seen the latest in the Moments Inked Planning System over at Papertrey Ink?  Its a meal planner!  And I love it!  It looks and feels just like the Moments Inked Planner, which is available now in the Papertrey Ink store.

Today I am showing you the meal planner that comes spiral bound.  It also comes in the Binder Addition, for those of you who have the gorgeous Moments Inked Binders.  I decided to grab a planner cover and use the spiral because I do love the notebook feel.

The spiral bound planner and meal planner work great together, allowing for those adorable interchangeable covers to be used on either book.  The are exactly the same size so all those Moments Inked dies and stamps will work perfectly in the Meal Planner.

For me this planner is just as simple as it looks.  I grabbed my pencil and an eraser and simply wrote out the meals for the week.  I love that it has "recipe location".  This has always been one source of irritation in the past.  I find a recipe, buy the ingredients and then can't remember where the recipe was or even what the ingredients were for.  This lets you keep all of those details in one place and this makes this column one of my favorite parts of this planner.  One quick look and you can see where you have the recipe stored, plus the defrost, advanced prep and slow cooker, help to make that mental note of whats coming up.

Each page has an attached, perforated, fold out list on the side of the menu.  It easily rips out so you can take it to the grocery store.  This is a genius addition to this meal planning system.  It stays in your planner until its time to get to the store.

I love that everything is sectioned out for you.  The lists I make look just like this, as far as organizing it out by department, so this takes the work out of that.

The back is your shopping list and another to do list spot....love that!  And then the back of the menu has a place for notes.  This is a list makers dream!  I love that it can be so simple and yet help me stay so organized.

I used the Moments Inked Planner Pocket Die to create a super easy insert to hold coupons.  This is a simple addition for your meal planner that can be moved from week to week.

I have heard from many people over the years that planning takes so much work.  I hope I have showed you today that it really is an easy task to make your meal planning more easy.

So glad you stopped in today! Thanks for coming by!

Moments Inked Newsletter...

Moments Inked Banner
So by now, you have lots of fun planner stamps to use with your planner.  I thought I would stop in and share a non-planner project for your kiddos.  I have 2 and chores are kind of a big deal around here.  My kids do best when they have a list....like their mom...and so I thought I would make it more fun and create a colorful chore clip board.

(All supplies are listed at the end of the post.)

First, I used the Headliner Alphabet (my absolute favorite alpha die set) and created a rainbow title on the side.

I used the 3x3 post its, available in the PTI Store, to create to do lists where I can add things that need to be done during the week.  I also added in a coordinating initial of their names.

I used the 3x6 post its to create the chore lists.  The numbers come in the set, along with the 3x6 lines, called Posted II.  The circles are in the Posted set and make the perfect place for the kids to check off their chores.

These post its are so handy to have around.  I love the white post its!  They are so easy to add color too and coordinate well with your planner colors.

Now I am off to fill this thing out and get the chores going for the day!  I appreciate your stopping in!  Hope you have a great day!

Moments Inked Travel Planning...

Moments Inked Banner
We are on the final days of the countdown to summer vacation and with the arrival of summer brings a pretty busy summer.  Lots of kid stuff and lots of travel!  I have prepared some pages tucked inside my planner, just to help get organized.  We have 3 big trips planned so far and I am hoping to squeeze in a few more, but here is one set of very simple organizational pages for all those lists I love to make.

There are 4 of us, so using the 3x6 post it notes works perfectly to give each of us a list of our "must haves" or "don't forgets".  I stacked up 4 notes and then washi taped them on to my clear dashboard....

Lining the large lined stamp from Posted II Stamp set works perfectly using a stamp positioner.  I was able to stamp them all quickly.

Planner travel pages

I used ones of the listed words from the Listed stamp set at the top of the packing lists.

Next, I die cut 3 pages from white card stock using the large page die from the Divided Die set.

I stamped the Listed image again on each page.  I really like to keep things simple, so I added a strip of washi on each page for a little decoration.

At the top of each page, I added a large paper clip, to attach any print outs, coupons or documents we need for each page.  I have one for Travel Info, Itinerary and Kids Activities.

And just to coordinate and block out the days on the planner itself, I have the same washi starting on the first day of vacation....

....and ending on the last day.
