Sending you...

I thought I was going to be super late for this party, but I made it!  I have been in Colorado for the past week spending time with family we just got home!  So here I am typing up my first post of the  year!  Today's card is for the newest Curtain Call.  Let me show you my card and then I will tell you a little bit about it...

Here is this week's inspiration photo...

We have a fabulous new sponsor, Linnie Blooms, for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge:  Smitten challenge!
The LEAD of this challenge will receive a gift certificate to use at Linnie Blooms!

Linnie Blooms gave us a pack of Gelatos to try out.  I used the  Faber-Castell Gelatos Tropical for my card.   I was so excited and I've been watching videos and learning techniques, but I still need some work.  So I used my gelatos to tint the embossing paste.  Basically, I used my Cricut spatula to scrap off chunks of gelato and then used it as a palette knife to blend the paste and color, until I had the right pink to match the inspiration photo.  Then I used a hearts stencil and smeared it on.  I sewed on the little banner, after stamping the sentiment.  I was hoping the soft look of the embossing paste would give it that sweater look.
