I loved Kristina's splatter card the other day....I am off on what day is what...but relized I didn't have any stencils with large spaces. So I made my own. (I'll show you how below)...and then I made this card....
I used Big Bang Confetti and The big, the Bold and the Happy sets from Winnie and Walter. They are PERFECT for this stencil technique. I also added in stripes from Be Cool from Avery Elle.
If you follow my blog you may have seen me do this before. I made THIS card last year using this same vellum technique. So I took a piece of vellum and die cut 3 stars. I was able to move the stars around on the card, so I could see right where I wanted them placed and then stamped on top of them. I took a makeup sponge and added in the color around the edges.
So that is it for today. I am learning a ton in this class. Lots of fun techniques! What is your favorite technique so far?
Love this technique. I still want to try it out. I just got around to trying out day 1 & 2 homework this afternoon. I am posting tomorrow on my blog. Lots of fun techniques. I can't pick a fave. Love them all. :)

ReplyDeleteoh my heck i love this.. girl your amazing..
ReplyDeleteLove your stars Laurie!!! Loving this class too :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful :) Love the overlapping stars!
ReplyDeleteI loved the class and I think my favorite technique used embossing paste but this one is a close second. I tried making my own stencils with acetate which worked fine on my Cricut but not with dies. I never thought to use vellum. You mastered this technique well.
ReplyDeleteSo colorful and a great idea to use a star shape. I'm going to try the vellum, I have a silhouette and I don't think it will cut through acetate so I've been using card stock, but that doesn't work that well.
ReplyDeleteNice card! Great job making your own stencil and a good looking layout of the card.
ReplyDeleteI love how this turned out. I really enjoyed this technique as well...heck the whole class was wonderful.
