I live in them. I do. I shouldn't. I had back problems awhile back and come to find out...it's most likely because of the flip flops. I've heard it for years. I didn't listen. I love them. So easy. Cute. A color for every outfit. And then cute toes...a reason for a pedi every couple weeks right? I can't not wear them. So all these flip flop stamp sets and dies make me smile. Life is really better in flip flops...
I stamped the sentiment on kraft paper and then crumpled it up for some texture. Then I made my own little rug. Fun huh? First, I impressed a piece of Hawaiian Shores with one of the new PTI IP's. I have all this twine and figured this would be the best way to break free from the hoarding problem I have. It hurt a little at first. But then I realized how cute it would be so I kept going. hehe!
Here are a few pics on how I did it...
Just a little double sided tape and some loops. Then I cut the end of each loop...
And trimmed up the edges. Super simple!
So glad you could come by today! I am thinking there may or may not be another flip flop post coming up soon for a certain Friday challenge! :)
Have a great day!
I hear ya on the flip flops! I even take Max on long walks in mine, probably not a good idea LOL, but they are so easy and comfy! Cute card Laurie, love the little rug idea!!
ReplyDeleteYou are a genius Laurie, that beach towel is so cool. I love it! I had all kind of back problems with flip flops until I started wearing the Sanuk Yoga Mat flip flops, so comfy and no more back woes.
ReplyDeleteSeriously?! Super easy? I can't believe how cute that beach towel is!! Genius, Laurie!
ReplyDeleteAnd I do agree...I love flip flops, I keep old favorites but buy new ones every spring (well really at the first sign of warm weather) :)

ReplyDeleteOh my, that twine fringe is too darn sweet! I'm impressed with your bravery in using the twine – heck, there's always more where that came from, and more fun colors keep coming as well! (I'll try to remember these words the next time I practically break into a sweat as my scissors get ready to make that cut...)

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness gracious girl!! This is the best. How do you come up with these things? Another Laurie technique to try. Oh..I love my flip flops too :)

They are a bit pricey but I've worn them for a year, now, and they have held up very well. And, the pain is gone. They were well-worth the $70 I paid for them. HTH.
this is totally awesome Laurie...you are so creative.
ReplyDeleteHow fun is this...I love it!
