MFT Wednesday Sketch...

Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another sketch challenge over at MFT!  I flipped the sketch so the circle and sentiment are on the other side.  I love how you can take a little creative license and change things up if you want to.

MFT WSC427

To create this card, I blended up a full card base of clouds using the MFT Cloud Stencil.  Next, I used a Stitched Circle Die to cut out the middle of the card and then I popped it up on foam tape.  I die cut a little yellow striped patterned paper and added it under a vellum banner with a heat embossed sentiment.  I added a tiny enamel dot to add to the yellow in the card front.

Here is this weeks sketch....

The MFT Challenge Blog will have lots more inspiration using this sketch.  Head on over there to check it out!  Don't forget you can play along too.

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday....and a tag!

Hey crafty friend!  Stopping in today with a birthday card and coordinating tag using some of my favorite stamps and dies from MFT.  (supplies linked below)

MFT Birthday

I used Handwritten Happiness to create a background stamping the happy birthday  to you stamped repeatedly in black ink.  I used the MFT Birthday Candle Die-namics and cut out several pieces of the Sweet Celebrations patterned paper.  I popped each candle up on foam tape and then added the yellow flame.

MFT Birthday

I used the largest of the Stitched Traditional Tag Stax Die-namics to create the tag.  I added the candles along the bottom to coordinate with the card and added in the flame.  I used another sentiment, make a wish, from the same Handwritten Happiness set.

MFT Birthday

MFT has LOTS of birthday stamps and dies perfect for your Birthday cards.  Click HERE to check them out!

So glad you stopped in today!  Thanks for coming by!

When I first opened up the box from Hero Arts and I saw this Bubbles Bold Print Background (its an add-on this month)....I knew I had to use it!!  Isn't adorable?

Untitled

To create this card, I heat embossed the bubble background on white Neenah cardstock with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder.  Next, I grabbed the Life Changing Blending Brushes and added in some Peacock Feathers Broken China Distress Inks to the background.  Talk about a smooth blend!  Next, I die the Hello Message Fancy Die in white Neenah and again in fun foam.  I used the fun foam to add some dimension to the sentient.  I colored up the little adorable little fish from the add-on set  Pet Gold Fish and tucked it behind the hello.  This way she looks like a shy little fish peeking out.  I used the Blue and Green Droplets in the background for little pops of color.  I popped the card front up on a white card base and left just a little white showing along the bottom.

My last project was so fun to make.  I used the Paper Layering Gold Fish in a Bowel...

Hero Arts My Monthly Hero

This is a die set with the bowl and the fish included.  I created a shaped card using the bowl and then masked off the top of the bowl.  I grabbed those Life Changing Brushes again and blending in the Peacock Feathers and the Broken China to create the water.  I used Carbed Pumpkin and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks to blend color onto the goldfish die cut.  I used a piercing tool to pop up the scales on the fish to give it some dimension.  I stamped the coral and sea weed from the main kit stamp set directly on the fish bowl.  I added in the sentiment and bubbles in black.  Last, I popped up the fish on the bowl with foam tape.

To create this card, I did a little ink blending in the background with a cloud and hill stencil.  I die cut the bunnies and carrots from the kit all in white card stock.  I used Copics to color them in.  Next, I added a sentiment from a Simon Some Bunny Special.  Works perfectly with this adorable pair!  Last, I die cut the tiny hearts and added the to the card front.

Check out this month's new set....Build-A-Flower: Dahlia...

I have 3 cards to share with you today.

Here is my first card...

Altenew BAF Dahlia

To create this card, I used Kind Confetti in the background with a sentiment to match.  I stamped and die cut the Dahlia.  Super easy to line up!  I added a couple leaves and attached it to the card front.

Altenew BAF Dahlia

I made one more card for the hop....and then ended up using all the parts and made another card.  :)

Altenew BAF Dahlia

The first card uses the negative of the Gradient Stripes Cover Die.  I stamped the dahlia's randomly on a piece of white card stock. I used 2 of the color layered images but instead of lining them up, I stamped them randomly too.  So the colors don't line up but the shapes add in a different look.  I popped that up on the card base and then added in the hello die in black card stock.

Altenew BAF Dahlia

I used the outside frame for this next card...

Altenew BAF Dahlia

I added it to a white card base and then stamped a simple sentiment along the bottom of the card.  And done!  :)

Altenew BAF Dahlia
