Card Concept-Snowman Tag

Today is a fun day because all of us at the Card Concept Challenge are joining Tracey McNeeley in her 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  First off, here is the inspiration photo....

I immediately say that snow in the background and made this tag using that inspiration...

I used the dies from Papertrey Ink's Tinsel and Tags kit. I layered them onto the bottom of the Basic Bookmark 1 die an the cut of the bottom to match the rounded edge of the other white die cuts.  I stamped Merry Christmas in Pure Poppy on the little snow hill and then added in some white gel pen dots in the background. I finished it off with some stickles and some Pure Poppy ribbon.

The Card Concept: Challenge #20

Are you ready for fall?  I sure am!  I am loving the cooler temps.  This time of year is my favorite for sure!

I am joining in with the girls over at Card Concept again for another fun challenge.  This time the it's a color combo and its perfect for fall!

I stamped this gorgeous sentiment from Give Thanks in black ink and then, stamped and cut out 3 pumpkins from Forever Fall.  I layered it with a piece of black, just to balance it all out.  I attached it all to a kraft card base and rounded one corner just for a little something else.

Back to School...

So THIS theme on THIS day could not have worked out better.  Today is our first day back to school. I am not going to lie.  I may have a little party up in here.  I adore my littles....but it is time.

So let's celebrate with a teacher card!  Here is this week's Card Concept inspiration photo....

I am totally diggin' all those apples!  So here is my very CAS, vey quick and easy teacher card...

IMG_0258

I stamped the apple in PTI Pure Poppy and New Leaf.  I stamped the sentiment in black and then cut the apple out with the die.  I love how those dies line up and cut so perfectly!  I added in the die cut and stamped leaves to finish off the apple.  I took a 3 1/2" x 4 card and scored to match the lines in the apple.  Oh and then I rounded the corners too.  A cute little note to stick in Rylee's back pack.  It's the first of the year, you say?  How do I know she is the best teacher already?  Well, Rylee's teacher moved up a grade and so did the whole class.  So we are very lucky to have Mrs Keller for Round 2!

The Card Concept #16...

HI there friends!  I am so excited to be stamping along with the Card Concept Challenge blog for a couple months.  Today's new challenge is a fun one!  I love these colors...

And of course, what a fun reason to make up a Wedding Card!  I am creating with my usual style here....CAS.  Here is my card...

I've used PTI's Bigger Blooms to stamp a few flowers in the background and then Grand Ampersand, to stamp the sentiment.  I added in some mini sequins to finish it off.

I learned something from a Jennifer McGuire video on how to use a dauber to add color to stamps.  SO fun.  So of course, I had to try it out here on this gorgeous Avery Elle set called Thanks a Bunch.  I won't tell you how many tries it took me to get this all straight. (Cough...Four) Then I finally got smart and used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.  Duh.  I added the front panel to the card after rounding the opposite corners with my corner chomper.

Here is this week's Card Concept....

Stop over to the Card Concept blog to see all the other gorgeous creations!  Thanks for stopping in and a huge thank you to the girls for having me as a Guest this month!

The Card Concept #3...

Hey there!  I am here today with a card for this weeks Card Concept #3.  I am really to be guest designing for the month of February.

This challenge was to use monochromatic pink.  I pulled 2 different shades of pink from the picture and made a striped background with a stencil from Simon Says, blending darker to lighter.  I used a part of a die cut from Heart in a box and then the small love you die, layered on top in a soft gray card stock.

It's hard to see but I added in some vellum hoping to mute the colors just a tad.
