hugs...

Hey friends!  So glad you could stop in today.  I have a fun little card that I whipped up with a new set from the Stamptember release over at Simon Says.  And guess what?  I did some watercoloring!  I know, I know!  Doesn't happen very often but I am trying to be brave and get a little messy.  So here is my card...

I took my Peerless watercolors and just added in a rainbow effect on this piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper.  The bottom right bugs me a little bit bc of the extra coloring running together but I am trying to embrace the watercolor effect/mess and go with it.  Ha ha! :)

I die cut a banner in black and then stamped "sending love &" in white ink from WPlus9.  I stamped and fussy cut the "hugs".  I just love this handwriting font and all the sentiment inluded in this new set called Best Hugs.  To finish it off, I added in some Mini Hearts dies, coated them with Glossy Accents and then sprinkled a little glitter on each one.  I popped the hole card front up on fun foam and added in onto the card base with ATG.

  3. I am right there with you about the messiness of watercolor, it's hard for me to embrace, too. I think your card is gorgeous, the colors are so vibrant. Love it.

  4. Laurie, your card is SO pretty. I love it. You definitely should w/c more often. This coming from a "control freak" who has a hard time with watercoloring and letting go.
