To create this card, I stamped the image with the main floral image onto white cardstock.  Next, I used the coordinating stencils to add in all the color.  You guys. I love this technique!!  As someone who has a hard time coloring....and loves quick and simple cards....this stencil option is my FAVORITE!!

I wanted to use the whole image, so I made a big ole 6x6 card.  I grabbed the coordinating die and cut the floral image out.  I added some striped patterned paper to the card base and then popped the flower die cut on top.  I finished the card off with the thanks die that comes in the die set, along with a vellum shadow.  I topped it off with some Glossy Accents for a little extra shine.

The Greetery Capturing Summer Reveals Day 1...

Hi friends!  It's day 1 of the Capturing Summer Reveals for The Greeterys latest release!  I have 2 cards to share using a few of the new products.  The new stamps and dies....you are going to love them!

This first card showcases the new Sitting Pretty Die along with the Sitting Pretty Accessories.  First, I grabbed the best little grass stamp from the Pot-Pourri Stamp Set to create a little grass border on the side of the deck.  I did a little ink blending to create an evening sky.  The white paint splatter works for a light starry sky.  I die cut the porch and chair and all those fun little pieces, did some watercolors, made a stripped rug and bam....a fun little porch scene!

I carried over the same grass and sky from the first card to make a coordinating background.  I added in the sentient from Firefly Nights.  I love this new set and all the sentiments included.  I die cut several little lightening bugs and used gold cardstock to add some shine.  I finished it off with a little red heart die cut for another pop of color.

Gold Foil Fantasticness....

 Have I told you how much I love hot foiling?  I do.  Its the easiest detail that adds so much to a card front!  The new July Glimmer Hot Foil Kit is amazing and these plates are so perfect to add to your stash.  Just a good basic detail for slimline cards....and for any other size really.

I taped down 2 of frames on a piece of cardstock and then added the gold foil.  After running it through my Glimmer System it revealed the most gorgeous shine!  I added in the big blooms from The Greetery and then added the front panel to a mini slim line card base.  So easy!

Are you new to hot foiling?

Spellbinders has a platform called Glimmer Hot Foil System.  This platform heats up metal plates called Glimmer Plates.  These glimmer plates come in ALL different types....sentiments, florals, backgrounds, graphic details etc....and add the most gorgeous foiling detail to your cards.  And the foils?  There are LOTS of different colors to chose from!

So once the platform and your glimmer plate heat up, you add in the foil and the cardstock and run in thorough your die cut machine.  Once you pull off the foil negative, the magic happens!  That foil that is set on your cardstock is just gorgeous!
