MFT and Friends...

Hello there!  I am here today with a new card for this months MFT and Friends.  This latest release was all about Christmas with some fun new stamps, dies and the perfect snow stencil.  I did a little die cutting and a little stencil and pasting and this is what I came up with...

To create this card, I used the new stencil called Snow Flurry.  I used a little embossing paste to create a fun background on a piece of kraft card stock.  I die cut the ho ho ho in white cardstock and added it to the embossed background.  Next, I grabbed a piece of that red and white striped paper from the new Candy Land Paper Pack and lined a card base.  I added the kraft panel to the front of the card with fun foam for some dimension.  Last, I die cut the star center of the ho ho ho die in silver sparkle card stock and added that in for a little shine.

CAS Trick or Treat {Spellbinders}...

Hey there!  I am stoping in today with another card using the Tricks or Treats dies from the Large Die of the Month Club over at Spellbinders.  They are perfect for Halloween.  You can use these dies for decor, tags, cards or layouts.

Here is my card using these super fun Tricks or Treats dies...



This clean and simple card was super easy to make.  The dies cut the perfect window so it was easy to center and cut it right out of the card front.  Next, I ink blended another panel using the perfect Oxide halloween colors. I added the colored blended panel to the back of the card front so the ink blending would show through.  And done!  Easy peasy card just in time for Halloween!

MFT October Release Day!

Today is the day!  All of the new October stamps and dies are available now over at the MFT Shop.  There are lots of amazing new holiday images just in time to get those card started.  BUT I have a card today sharing one of our new dies and I'm using it in a completely different way than its intended.  AND its not a holiday card either.  I had to throw a rainbow in here!

Here is my last card for the October release using the Trifold Slider Die...

This genius die is used to create an interactive slider card.  You can check out its intended use by clicking HERE.  But I had to change it up and use it for a clean and simple, graphic card detail.  

To create this card, I cut the sliders out in rainbow colors.  Then I cut the same sliders out in fun foam.  I attached each color to a fun foam dimensional with liquid glue.  Then, for a random tiered look, I attached each slider die cut to the card front.  Last, I stamped the sentiment and a little heart from the Love is in the Mail set. 

After die cutting the Trifold Sliders, I had a big pile of perfectly perfect rainbow scraps.  I just couldn't let them go to waste!  So, I lined them up on a card base to create this one layer card.  

I used the same Love is in the Mail stamp set to add the sentiment which finished off the card.

MFT Release Countdown Day 1...

So if today is day 1....then that means tomorrow is release day!  Whoop!  If you are new to my blog, let me explain.  Today is the last day of the countdown for sneak peeks for the My Favorite Things October Release of all new stamps and dies.  You can learn more about MFT by heading over to their blog and seeing each of the countdown days.  

For today, I have one last countdown peek using the Filled With Joy dies that were in last months kit. I am a very clean and simple card maker and nothing makes me happier then all that white space with little pops of color.  SO here is today's CAS card...

This card would be SO easy to re create multiple times for your Christmas Card.  I did a red and a green and a white die cut and popped each color up on fun foam die cuts of the same letters.  

I felt like it needed a little something so glitter it was!  I masked off the bottom of the white JOY and added some liquid glue to cover each die cut.  Then I sprinkled on a little glitter.

MFT Release Countdown Day 2...

Hi there!  Welcome to Day 2 of the MFT Countdown!  Today I have a fun card using a new die and a new stencil.  Let's get started!

The new die is called Fa La La, of course.  Isn't it so much fun?  I die cut it using some red sparkle card stock.  The blingy sentiment packs a punch!  I added the sentiment to a soft gray card panel after I stenciled the Snow Flurry stencil in white ink.  Last, I colored and die cut a little holly image form Tweet Holidays to finish it off.
