Spellbinders Small Die of the Month...

Stoppin in with a clean and simple card using one of the new dies from the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month.  This month's set of dies is so versatile for tags or cards.  There are adorable little details included but today, I used just one of the dies to create this card.

Here is today's card....

Spellbinders

This one was super easy!  I use the Birthday Wishes circle die and die cut it right out of the middle of a white card panel.  I added foam tape to the back and then layered a piece of rainbow paper to create that window.  I added the front panel to a white card base to keep it simple!

Head on over to Spellbinders to check out the Die of the Month Clubs they have to offer.

Thanks so much for coming by today!

MFT Release Countdown Day 5...

Hello!  It is time for the December Release Countdown over at MFT.  The Design Team is getting together this week to share the sneak peeks so you can stop over to the MFT Blog to see more.

Today I made a card using the new die called Bold Beautiful Die....

MFT December Release

Oh my, I love this die so much!!  To create this card, I did a little light stenciling in the background with the Captivating Mandela Stencil.  I used a light pink ink for a subtle look.  Next, I die cut the Bold Beautiful die in white cardstock and kept just the outline.  I added some versamark and Gold Embossing powder to the bottom of the die to give it some shie.  I added a tiny piece of washi to the card, just for a little contrast and detail.

MFT December Release

That is it for me today. Stop back by tomorrow for day 4 and another card!

Thanks for stopping in!

Simon Says DieCember® Release Blog Hop...

Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Diecember Blog Hop! I am so excited to be joining these amazing ladies for today's hop.  There are lots of new dies for Diecemeber so head on over to Simon and check them out....but first, I have 3 clean and simple projects to share!

Simon has several new Big Picture Book dies and this new Otter Die is one of them...

SSS Diecember

To create this card, I die cut the otter out of Kraft and then again out of white.  I used Copic markers to color the eyes, the nose.  I pieced it all together and then popped it all up on foam tape on a plaid patterned paper lined card base.  I added in a little pink envelope and a note inside with the Hugs sentiment from the Best Hugs set from Simon.  Last, I a little heart die from the Mini Heart Die set.

SSS Diecember

I grabbed the new Nested Banner set and decided to use them to create a colorful background...

SSS Diecember

After diecuttng the banners, I lined them up and added each panel to the card front with foam tape.  I die cut the "create" sentiment from fun foam and white card stock to add the simple sentiment on the front.  I think this card would be perfect for a crafty friend!

SSS Diecember

I wanted to share a quick way to emboss and decorate an envelope....

SSS Diecember

I die cut the Wrought Iron Border Die out of 110 lb card stock.  I cut the outside border off so just the decorative inside shows through on the embossing.  This is so easy to do but adhering the die cut to the inside of the envelope flap and then running it through with your die cut machine with the embossing pad and a few shims of card stock.  I have a video I did awhile back and you can see it HERE.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Poppy Release Blog Hop...

Good morning!  Altenew has a brand new build-a-flower and we are hopping today to share it with you.

This gorgeous new stamp set has 2 blooms that are so easy to create.  Each bloom has 3 steps to the bloom and then a couple small details for each complete flower.  Super easy!!

My first card showcases a way to use the outline of the bloom to create a fun, clean and simple background....

Altenew Poppy

Randomly stamping the flower in black ink definitely created bold background.  To finish this card off, I die cut the hello die in black fun foam and then layered it with an ink blended hello die cut.  I added a little frosty edge to the bottom for a little shine.

Altenew Poppy

I love how the black fun foam gives dimension but also ties the black details of the card together.

Altenew Poppy

I made another easy background but randomly stamping the blooms...

Altenew Poppy

I heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock and then added some sliver thread for a little extra detail.

Altenew Poppy

Here is the stamping guide for the Poppy.  Super easy!
