Introducing What the Doodle...

It's Day 4 of the Papertrey Anniversary Week!  Today we are introducing lots of fun new products, but I am here to share a fun new stamp set called What the Doodle.



For this card, I did a simple watercolor background.  Next, I heat embossed this gorgeous butterfly and cut it out with the die.  The butterfly die is an open die which makes it SO easy!  I popped the butterfly up on foam tape and then added in this fun frame, which you will learn more about soon!  :)

Introducing Tiny Town Series...

Welcome to Day 3 of the Papertrey Ink Anniversary Celebration.  Today we are sharing a new die set called Tiny Town.  When I was little, my dad used to take us to a place called Tiny Town in Colorado.  It was a fun little park full of miniature houses and buildings and so when I saw the name of this new die set, it made my day!

One of my favorite decor items in my house, is a tray.  I have several trays around my house, decorated with fun little odds and ends.  I new when I saw the gorgeous little church, it would work so well on my tray.



The fun thing about this church, is that I can keep it VERY CAS and white and it still looks beautiful.  

Before I folded each piece of the church, I scored each score line so they would stay nice and clean.  Next, I layered the inside with vellum so the candle underneath would really show through.  

I cut the flaps off the bottom of the church, so I could easily place my little battery powered tea light. 

The glow of the tea light through the church windows is so pretty...

I know there will be so much more to see today and I can't wait to see all the different uses for this fun little tiny town!

Introducing Dress Up Dolls...

Welcome to Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink Anniversary Celebration.  We have lots of fun stuff planned for this week and I am excited to share.  Today is all about the new set called Dress Up Dolls.  These are the most adorable paper doll stamps and dies.  Here is a fun little gift set...



Also available, are magnetic sheets and a tin.  I tied up the crayons and a "just for you" tag to complete the package.

Inside looks like this....

I stamped each doll and accessory onto a adhesive label sheet.  After cutting the magnet sheets with the coordinating dies, I peeled off the label back and attached them to the magnet.  They fit perfectly into this little tin. Here they are all dressed up....

I have taken the tin and created a label using the Watercolor Wonder set to match the little set of crayons I added in....



The tag is from Tiny Tags and was just the perfect size for the sentiment.

Papertrey Favorites...

I can't believe its Anniversary month over at Papertrey Ink!  This marks Papertrey's 9th Anniversary (and my 2nd Anniversary with PTI too!).  We have LOTS of fun stuff coming up this week and I hope you will join me each day, as PTI shares a new challenge for you to participate in and also, new goodies to see!

When I think back on this last year, I can think of so many fun things that stand out but this memory stands out the most....

This year has been such a fun year!  February also marks my 2 year anniversary with Papertrey Ink and what a blessing it has been!  I have so many great memories over the past 2 years, but what stands out this year is Stamp-a-Faire.  Thinking back on how I "attempted" to dance to the Vogue music video, still makes me laugh.  I remembered freezing up in front of the camera and I couldn't get myself to move!  I want to wish a very Happy 9th Anniversary to Papertrey Ink and everyone behind the scenes!  

I picked my favorite card of 2015 from the March release. This color combo is one of my favorites!

I used the Twig Wreath Die to create the flowers and leaves on this card.  I took each of the 3 sizes of flower dies and pressed a stylus down in the center of each and then glued them all together.  I did the same thing with the leaf dies, so they would have a little dimension.  I also added some Copic highlights to each leaf.  The center of each flower is a dot of black liquid enamel.  I stamped the "Thank You" sentiment on one of the stripes from the Cover Plate: Stripes Horizontal.

To place these stripes, I used this technique with Press n Seal.  You can see my original video from back in August of 2014 HERE.

MFT February Product Launch...

It's MFT Product Release Time!  Have you seen the February Release?  So many fun things!  Click HERE to check it out!

I have a card today using the new set called Lucky.  I did a little Misti layering to create this popped up frame of shamrocks....




After getting it all set up, I stamped the sentiment in the middle and added a tiny heart from the Hip Clip die set.  The stitched frame is from the Stitched Rectangle Frames Die set.
