Some more Christmas....

It is a great time to think about making your Christmas cards! If you start now and work on a few at a time, you can get a good stash going!

Here is a quick and simple one I made for my Stamp-A-Stack!

Moonlight White Versamagic works great for the snowflakes in the background! It really pops off of the Scarlet cardstock!

Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

It feels like Christmas!

Well, not totally...there is no snow yet! BUT it is freezing here in Kansas. I just got back from CKC in KC! Let me tell you how cold it was there. We went shopping at Legends next to the race track....yep....COLD! There is already that "Holiday" feel in the air! I LOVE it! I am so a cold weather girl!

Just wanted to drop in here with a Christmas card today! I just love this card! So bright and fun! And easy! :) (This is one of my Stamp-A-Stack cards from this weekened!)

The Leapfrog Bazzill matches TAC's Landscape Palette ink perfectly (even tho it doesn't look like in the picture!) and I love it mixed with the Scarlet red! And of course Stickles for some sparkle!

Are you ready for the holidays? Well, it looks like they are coming in a hurry! Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great Monday!

Fall Invitations

I got a call the other day from a friend on PTO at my dd's school. She asked if I would be willing to make some invitations for a Bus Drivers Appreciation Breakfast. My MIL has driven bus for 30 years and so I just couldn't say no!

We quickly picked out "fall" theme for the breakfast and I got busy. You know what I picked for my invites right? Yep, that wonderful pumpkin I love so much! Now, 17 pumpkins later, my hand is tired but I still love the pumpkin!

I used colored pencils and mineral oil on some and OMS on the others. They definitely turned out very rich in color! I used 3 layers of color on the pumpkin again and I just love how they turned out!

Here are some of them waiting in line to be assembled!

And here is the finished pile! What a fun and fast project!

I hope the bus drivers will feel special and know how much we appreciate them! They are wonderful people making sure our kids get to where they need to go everyday!
And to my dd's bus driver....Thanks Vicky, for all you do!

Me techniquey? No not me!

If you follow my blog, you know I am not really into all the different techniques of stamping! Don't get me wrong....there are so many amazing ones! I just think that I am not good at them! I do not distress. I don't rip. I don't sand or edge distress. (OK on a few occasions I do.) My cards are simple and clean, and it is hard for me to go outside the lines sometimes! I do want you to know that I do try to get outside the lines!

One thing about me that some have found shocking, is that I do not own a brayer. Well...until a couple weeks ago. I went to a FAB meeting with some FAB girls and they taught me that I needed a brayer. We made a card very similar to this one, so this idea of the leaves is not my own but the card I threw together with Heather's inspiration! Thanks Heather!!!

How easy is this? It took no time at all and the brayer just gave that paper such a great look!
Now all I need to do is learn some more ways to use it! Wait...would I be techniquey if I did that?

OK so that's it for today! Have a good one!
(Oh a little shout out to my BFF Jen! Happy Birthday chick! Hope it's a good one!!)

Cards we wish we didn't have to make...

I always hate making sympathy cards! I wish there was no such thing! I do like the fact that a card can bring a note of friendship or love during a hard time though!

Here is a card just for that reason....

Thanks for coming by today! Are you watching Grey's Anatomy tonight? It is sooo good! Let me know what you think!
