A Note to Make You Smile! {Spellbinders}...

 The Glimmer Hot Foil Kit for February is a must have!  This kit has a handful of adorable sentiments that will pair well with any of the past Spellbinders Kits!  I had to use my favorite from this months kit....

To create this card, I paired the Glimmer Hot Foil Sentiment with the new Geo Foliage Glimmer Hot Foil Set.  I just love that framed foiled panel and I was able to center and foil both at once.  I added to a card base lined with striped paper and then added in some details.  The flower dies are from Christmas Blooms and that beautiful die cut butterfly is from the set called Delicate Butterflies. 

Quick side note....the flowers are from Christmas Blooms Die set.  While this set works great for Christmas, this is a great set to work for spring and summer flowers too!  I love dies that are good for more than one season or occasion!  I added the clear drops along the middle of the Butterfly to finish it off!

A LITTLE ABOUT HOT FOILING...

Spellbinders has a platform called Glimmer Hot Foil System.  This platform heats up metal plates called Glimmer Plates.  These glimmer plates come in ALL different types....sentiments, florals, backgrounds, graphic details etc....and add the most gorgeous foiling detail to your cards.  And the foils?  There are LOTS of different colors to chose from!

The Glimmer Hot Foil System works great with a Platinum 6 Die Cut machine from Spellbinders but also works with other die cut machines. You can click HERE to see a compatibility chart.  

First you heat up the platform and your glimmer plate on the Glimmer System Platform.  Then you add in the foil and the cardstock and run it thorough your die cut machine.  Once you pull off the foil negative, the magic happens!  That foil that is set on your cardstock and the results are just gorgeous!
