United We Craft Blog Party

Hello crafty friends!  I am so excited to be here today bringing a little crafty in the middle of this crazy quarantined time at home.  I am joining a big group of amazing crafters today for one huge virtual party today over at Simon Says Stamp!  We will all be sharing lots of crafty inspiration today and you can check out all the blogs by heading over to the Simon Blog.

As I have been sitting at my desk, zooming with friends over the past 2 weeks, I have been feeling to grateful for this hobby and all of my friends.  We have chatted and laughed and crafted the time away in the middle of this yuck.  I feel pretty blessed to be "safe at home" not stuck at home, with my kiddos and all my friends who live in my computer.

I have a couple of projects to share today using some of my favorite Simon Says products.  Everything I used for today's projects are linked at the bottom of this post.

Simon Says Stamp

This first card was made with the stamp set called Vacation Time and the adorable Classic Bicycle Die.  I also used some distress inks to add some Grassy Edges along the bottom and then a few clouds at the top edge of the card front.

I used my Misti and stamped in the sentiment from Vacation Time along the bottom edge and the big sentiment up in the corner.  I die cut and pieced together the Classic Bicycle Die and added it to the front of the card.  Last, I added in some clear drops to finish off the card.

Another die from Simon Says that has always been a favorite is the Clustered Leaves.  And then they went and came out with the outline to coordinate.  I just love these 2 dies!

To create this card, I die cut the leaves in a light green cardstock and then added in a bunch of shading with Altenew's Alcohol Makers.  I die cut the Clustered Outline in white and attached the 2 die cuts together with spray adhesive.

I grabbed a light gray card front and heat embossed the sentiment on the front.  Next, I added in the leaves to the front and finished it off with some more clear drops.  I love those things.  I want to put them on every card I make but I try to contain it.  LOL!

I am so glad you stopped in today!  I hope that you are safe at home and doing well.  If you are an essential worker, my family sends love and prayers for your safety!

Have fun in today's Simon Says Stamp Virtual Party!

  1. Both projects are absolutely lovely Laurie. Of course I am a sucker for that leaves die and may also have to get the Clustered Leaves one too! Beautiful work! ❤
