The Hoopla Stitching Collection and More...

Hi there Crafty Friends!  Today's post for the PTI release countdown is SO much fun!  We get to share Erin's GENIUS new stitching products.  Recently at a craft retreat, my friend Amy and I chose a felted hoop project for one of our weekends make and takes.  It was so much fun and so very easy.  So these new goodies are amazing!

First off, here is my CAS hoop...

I used the new Tiny Stitched Alphabet Blocks to make a fun, simple sentiment with black felt and white stitching.  I used the Hoopla Stitched Scallop dies to create the flowers.  I stitched up the bottom to make something that looked like a banner and then I slide them all down tight on the floss and they curled up very easy to make the flower.  I kept some of the stitching holes intact, around the edges and let some of the holes come out. the leaf dies are not stitching dies, but was able to make them look that way by using a piece of a die from the Seasonal Stitching: Holly Dies.

This was so fun and easy to create!

I wanted to share another project from the past (October 2014) to show you just how easy any of the Papertrey Ink Stitching Dies are to use with a hoop.  All you need is a wooden hoop and some muslin to create an adorable gift!  (Seasonal Stitching: Snowman Die)

The rest of the DT will be sharing Hoopla projects today too, so stop by Nichole's blog to see the list of links.

So glad you could come by today!  Hope you have a great day!

  1. OH MY GOODNESSES! Just love those flowers, Laurie! Hmmmm, you have my thinking cap on! Always dangerous (at least for my wallet!).

  2. I love your felt projects! The flowers are so pretty ,it's fun to see them change just by pulling tight! Darling snowman too!

  3. Love your beautiful flowers - what a creative use for the scallope die!

  4. Your flowers are unbelievably pretty! Great creative thinking!

  5. I LOOOOVE WHAT YOU'VE DONE with the Stitched Scallops! SUPER CREATIVE!!! ;) AND adding the Holly Die is GREAT TOO!!! SUPERB JOB LAURIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

  6. You are so creative - using the scallops to make flowers...genius. Gorgeous work, as always!

  7. Love your scallop flowers, Laurie, just so pretty! But I do have a question: when you say you stitched up the "bottom" of the scallops, do you mean the circle part (versus the scalloped part)? In case you can't tell, I'm sewing-challenged :)

    1. I have the same question, Laurie. My BFF and I are trying to figure out how to recreate these flowers when we purchase this die. You've definitely ispired us. I've never won at PTI, but I know for sure that I can't live without this release. It's amazing, and you have really inspired us. LOVE LOVE LOVE your project, hon.
