I love a good CAS card, and I love some good stripes. Papertrey Ink's Background Basics: Super Stripes are just that. My favorite! A fun and easy element to add to a card in so many different ways. I have a Make it Monday video to share today, showing how I made this front panel and then several cards from the past (at the end of this post) using stripes in different ways. Hope you are inspired and can play along. Stop over to Nichole's blog to link up your creation!

Here is today's video....
And here are close ups of the past cards I showed in the video, plus a couple extras....

ReplyDeleteStunning collection of cards, Laurie! Love the one you created today so much ~ Thanks so much for another great video!
ReplyDeleteI have never given much thought to stripes, but after seeing your cards, I definitely will in the future. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteEven tho' I've been stamping for years, I learned something from your video! Very cute CAS cards!
ReplyDeleteI am wondering if the stamp (home is where the car hair is...) is Papertrey's? Would love to have one, so appropriate for anyone with cats.
Hi there! Yes that cat set is a PTI set called Superstition. https://www.papertreyink.com/stamps/superstition-stamp-set/
DeleteI absolutely love your clean and simple card! I plan on making a bunch similar to it 4 thank yous. I have what is probably a stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyway. How often do you clean your absorbit cloth? Do you just use it until it is totally grungy or do you clean it after every stamping session?
ReplyDeleteHi Helen! Not a stupid question! :) To tell you the truth....I rarely wash it. I used to. But I have had the same chunks now for probably 5 or so years. I get it wet when I sit down to stamp and then let it dry until the next time I use it. If it gets totally gross....then I toss it in the washing machine with a load of towels. I did buy a pink one last year bc I thought it was a cute color to have...big mistake! lol! The pink one looks even worse. Hope that helps!
DeleteSuper fun cards Laurie! Thank you for all the fun inspiration!
ReplyDeletebeautiful cards!!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing my first GIVEAWAY over at my blog! Be sure to check it out!! :)
Had a great time making my "stripey" card. And the best tip...running my hand on the stamp before picking up ink. Doing or all the time now, thank you!
