One more Mehndi...

I promise this will be the last Mehndi post I share for awhile...maybe!  I am sorta having a problem putting this set down!  I have a stack that I will spare you and keep for myself!  :)

So if you all saw my flickr photo HERE yesterday, you probably knew this card was coming your way!  I had so much fun making these buttons!  I colored them all in with Copics!  Yes it was a lot of work but oh so fun! Copics color on these coasters just beautifully!

So here it is...

I matted the buttons with the PT Circle die in Pure Poppy!  Then I used the die again to cut out a Dark Chocolate piece.  I ran that through with the woodgrain die and cut it in half lengthwise!  Then I matted the red circle die strip with the 2 parts of the Dark Chocolate strip!  I put some twine through the button wholes and attached them with glue dots!  The last step was stamping the sentiment and running the card base through with the Canvas IP, just for a little texture!

Here is one more Mehndi that I posted on Flickr for the Summer Card Camp!  I thought I would come in and share it here too!

Congrats

I cut each stamped image out with a 1" circle punch leaving the extra little border!  I colored these in with Copics as well!  I cut each circle in half (I was going to make a banner card with these half circles and this was what came out instead!) and then attached them to a 1 1/4" strip of Raz Fizz!  After stamping the sentiment and  running the it through with the woodgrain IP, I cut 1" off the face of the card front so I could layer the scalloped piece on the front.  I added the black strip and the black pearls for some balance!

I had an amazing day to myself on Thursday and these projects were the result of that!!  My mom took my kids overnight and I got my ENTIRE house clean and made a LOTS of cards!  I did a load of laundry..made a card....vacuumed the living room...made another card....vacuumed the stairs...made these buttons.  That is pretty much how the whole day went, along with a little Pandora in the background!  I could use a day like this every month!  I think I will ask for that for Christmas!  hehe!

Thanks for stopping today!

  8. I don't know which is more impressive - these cards or the fact that you got your whole house clean all at once! The best I can do is to have one room completely clean, but never all of them at the same time! Hee.

  29. Gorgeous! I have yet to ink this set up...I always thing there will be more time for crafting in the summer, but I'm always wrong! Too much time spent outside! I'll have to change that when the next thunderstorm blows through.
